After a very long 2 year preparation process, my surgery date is scheduled for Thursday, February 7. My question goes out to all of you who are diabetic. When did you begin seeing a lowering of your blood sugar levels after surgery? Given that we are all different and metabolisms vary, I wanted to get a feel for your experiences. My surgeon told me today during our pre-op meeting that she can’t guarantee that I’ll be free from my 4x daily insulin injections. Thanks for the opinion 3 days before surgery!!
