After surgery I went to the mall. I walked for hours. My doc said that the walking helped me not to feel gas pain. Didn't feel anything until today, pressure on my chest and pain on the port. It's real uncomfortable

Had surgery Tuesday 2/19. The first two days felt hungry but no appetite. Today Friday, gosh I was hungry. My mom made me some Soup and I was only drinking the liquids, but then I got some yams, mashed them and ate them. I was starving. I also ate some pieces of beef with the soup broth. Gosh I felt way much better after that. Try to eat something soft like yams, mash them w chicken broth, it worked forme.

I have been applying ice, that also helps

Hi, had surgery Tuesday, 2/19. I was doing great. I even took a plane the following day after surgery. Well, today I had a lot of pain on my port. Took some meds doc gave me for pain and felt better, but it does hurt a lot.

I also had surgery on Tuesday. I felt pressure on my chest, not pain. I feel pain where my port is. Anyone knows how long this lasts

Dear friends I just had surgery 2day an here I'm writing. My day started at 5am since I'm in Colorado and I prefer to use my NYC hour. Surgery was at 9am. everything was great. My doc and his staff are the best! I recommend him. Lapband surgery was $8950. I left clinic around 2pm. Headed to hotel, took my meds and then I hit the mall. Bought lots of things for my kids, their dad,and my mom. Hours later went to hotel, had meds, chicken broth, shower and here I am, talking 2 you guys. No pain at all! Just had some nausea but the med removed it immediately. It's 10:30pm in Colorado and 12:30am in NYC. Follow up w doc 2moro and then back to NYC at 6pm Colorado time. I flew alone and hired caretaker here. I'm talking tony guys from the bad and she is on Facebook, cant b better. Soon both will sleeping. Those who don't have any support like me, don't b afraid of doing what u gotta do. Have ur surgery, travel if u have to, find a fill doc, borrow the money, but don't let people and ur situation stop u. Follow ur dream bc lapband Is not about being skinny, it's about getting ur life back in order to enjoy it and to share it w ur love ones. It's to admire yourself and finally to see u in the mirror and saying hello to the person u used to b or to the face u wanted to have. (I will continue to write on my page, it's getting too long) an I need to rest. Good night family!

Well friends, I'm from nyc and surgery is Tuesday 2/19 in Denver Colorado. I'm a self paid client. Since Denver is real far from NYC, I asked my primary doctor to give me a referral to Do my fills. She is part of a hospital here in NYC so she sent me to another department for fills. I was happy n ready for surgery. I called that dpt today to set up an appointment and they refused to take me,claiming that they don take "other doc patients." This hospital has milked my insurance for any little thing for the last 15ys I have Ben their client but won't do my fills. My insurance referre me to other docs and they also told me, "if u didn't do ur surgery w us we can't see u." Wht the heck! One nurse even to,d me, " this is how we keep our business open. We can't allow pp to pay docs for surgery and then just come here for follow ups." The sec of a doctor had the audacity of telling me, " the band is 25k and fills are 300, "u do the math." OMG, can't a poor girl save some dough by having surgery outside NYC!

Today I didn't do it! Gosh this is frustrating!

I broke my diet (Atkins). Surgery Tuesday so to make it up, I'm going to start liquid diet tomorrow.

2 weeks diet and lost 10 and just gained them back. Surgery Tuesday. Just hope all goes well. I love food and I needed to say "goodbye" to food and started to eat.

I'm Hispanic we eat lots of rice, meats, juices, starch. When my mom offers me these foods I seriously tell her, "mom, i want to feel good about my self, you are not helping me." I also feel my friends that! They feel guilty lolololol
