1. I need a band buddy! Would love to meet someone in the Clarksville area to walk and talk with during this journey
2. She said "grow up"! I said "stop being so old!" Really, I'd say I didn't stoop anywhere.... lol!! Oh, and on top of that, I really just don't care whether I'm being juvenile... I.think she was out of line by suggesting there was ANYTHING wrong with this post!! I was being honest too!
3. I got kind of offended too... I take the time to actually weigh, measure, portion and track all my ingredients when I cook so I can log the calories at home... I think it's more lazy to just say "oh that is too much work I can't do that."
4. 5. I'm frustrated about the same thing:( I got used to seeing the loss, now I'm stalled
6. Is it ok to swallow the biotin pill after surgery?
7. I was worried about this because my best friend got lap band 2 years ago and hasn't lost any weight. I almost didn't tell her I was going to get it but decided that would bother her more when she found out later
8. I don't usually have a problem like this but after reading about it, it looks like the same thing that happens to me after getting IVs. After all my surgeries I have develiped big painful fluid filled bumps.I figured it was part of my natural healing process. Usually goes away a couple of weeks and doesn't come back. Good luck to you!!
9. I was banded April 2nd, have nothing in my band right now. Right after surgery they took me down to do a barium swallow and it showed the liquid was just slowly trickling through. Now I'm at home and every tiny sip I take its followed by a gurgling noise and a burp. Has anyone else experienced this? It's almost impossible to get liquids in! And it huuuurts.
10. I am waiting for the flex too and I'm going to buy the aura at the same time. Yay!
11. Day 3 of liquid diet... I met my husband for lunch lol
12. My doctor doesn't require a pre op diet... but I'm doing one anyway. I want to shrink my liver and lower my BMI before going through the surgery on 4/2.
13. I start my pre op diet today and I'm certainly scared. I tell myself it's okay but I have trouble sleeping, am restless, wake up to a bed that I've torn all the sheets off of in the night.... It's a huge step and I think it's normal to have some anxiety.
14. So I met with the surgeon and my BMI is no longer in a place where he requires this. He still wanted to do it but I took in all of my research from scholarly journals and he actually read the studies and we cancelled the filter. Now let's hope I made the right decision... this was a tough one for me.
15. Amen to that. When in April is your surgery? Mine is April nd
16. Meee!!! Mine is scheduled for April 2!
17. Wow it sucks being drunk in a room full of sober, level-headed people. Emotions like fear arent rational so I don't think being told to be rational is going to help. You can message me or add me to friends or whatever if you want to talk!
18. I love New fitness pal friends. My name is pinkcess23
19. I got my surgery date... it's April 2nd! Part of me can't believe it's really going to happen. Having a date makes it SO much more real.
