  2. Post op*** oops down 35lbs. (Wooooooooohoooooo) . Just got my first fill and other than almost passing out when I seen the size of the needle.. It really wasn't bad! Almost hit my march goal so I think I'm gonna have to change it from 240 to maybe 235!
  3. :start rant: Not only am I nervous as can be because I am getting my first fill.. But it's snowing! Again!! Anytime I do anything related to this band.. Some storm comes and hits NYC.. this is becoming a pattern -first appointment - hurricane sandy (that actually damaged the hospital) -surgery - blizzard -post op appointment -severe thunderstorms -fill - snow/sleet storm Now I have to drive and dodge idiots that lose their minds anytime the weather changes and taxi cabs.. Good times grrr ! :end rant
  4. I do 3 small meals.. I will have good carbs for breakfast & lunch cept the carbs from veggies lol.. I'm not a big snack eater but ill have sugar free jello if I'm starving
  5. It depends on your body.. "Bad" Carbs drag me down and stick to me like glue.. So I stick to a lower carb diet and the carbs I do consume are unprocessed natural carbs aka "good carbs" and I don't really monitor them.
  6. I've noticed the people that keep their weight off are the people that changed their lifestyles and view of food.. People that gained it back did not change., even if you get the sleeve.. If you don't follow the rules and change your whole view on food .. You are going to gain it back..
  7. Track your food and track your calories.. Use your resources at NYU. Call your nutritionist get some food counseling. Go to the monthly support group.. FOLLOW the RULES!
  8. The crackers are a lil high in carbs/sugar but if your gonna go this route.. Add a scoup of chocolate protein powder and that will be a yummn alternative
  9. If you fail or don't lose at least you tried something!!!! You need to get your head focused on why you chose lap band to begin with.
  10. Start seeing a nutritionist! Practice and prepare.. I was very upset at first that my insurance company wasn't going to accept the 6 month supervised diet from my dr and told me to see a nutritionist! But I'm glad they did! ! I was so prepared!
  11. It's so yum... Another spaghetti alternative is zucchini
  12. I've been logging my food for the past 6 months as I've noticed that when I have a high sodium meal the very next day ill weigh up to 2 lbs more.. Which usually comes off the next day.. We are women and retain Water like crazy.. Ill be gaining around 4lbs in the next few days when I start my monthly cycle.. Don't stress.. 23lbs in 1 month is much more above the 2 lbs per week that is the average!
  13. For some reason.. Profiles won't open on my iPhone app :-/ sorry
