  1. Yesterday was the second night I took Prilosec and this morning was better than yesterday. I still gag (which I despise) but at least it's for a shorter amount of time.
  2. I guess you can say that after one small bite I have to lay down because my stomach is in shambles! The pain usually lasts around 20 minutes. Maybe it's the kind of food I eat? Today I tasted a "piggy in the blanket" without the bread N that went down well.
  3. Well according to him I shouldn't be in the solid food stage until another 3 weeks but even mushy food makes me sick, I guess we all heal differently?
  4. Great job!!! I'm 10 lbs from onederland!!
  5. 10 lbs in a month? That sounds great! I'm 7 weeks post op and have never managed 10 lbs in 4 weeks. But I'm extremely happy with my weight loss
  6. I'm 7 weeks post op and still can't tolerate solid food. No matter how much I chew/blend or how small I cut the pieces. How long did it take everyone to tolerate solids?
  7. So I crushed the pill last night and drank it with a little bit of crystal light. I woke up ten times better this morning! I went from a 15 minute gagging spree to a 5 minute one this morning. I noticed that when I drank the crushed pill, there was a lot leftover after all the liquid was gone. So tonight I'm going to try to continue mixing the drink as I drink it. I can't wait until these morning gagging sessions are gone for good!
  8. Thanks! I just crushed the pill and put it inside a little cup with crystal light. Lord I hope I dont wake up with that horrible sensation. I dread waking up :/ my neighbor even asked if everything was ok because he's overheard me gagging lol
  9. Just bought Prilosec and Tums. Looking forward to taking it tonight and hopefully waking up gag free!
  10. I'm going to buy it today! I'm hoping it takes care of my issue. Thank you, everyone!
  11. Very informative! For those of you that take Prilosec, do you crush the pills? Is there a liquid form?
  12. I have never heard of those pills before, what are they?
  13. I'm extremely grateful to wake up and see another day, but I don't looking forward to the first 15 minutes of what has become my morning routine. Every morning I wake up gagging and throwing up a white foam. Most of the time it's multiple burps. I contacted my doctor and he told me to stop eating dinner late, I eat my dinner by 6 pm at the latest and its still happening. Can I please get some advice? Does this happen to everyone? How can I make this stop? And no I'm not pregnant
  14. I'm a really nervous about running out of energy or wanting to take big gulps of water. Big gulps cause me horrible pain in my chest. I guess I just have to be careful.
  15. My doc gave me the ok to start Zumba!! Woo hooo
  16. Thanks everyone! I'm ecstatic!
  17. Today I got out of the shower and a regular sized wrapped completely around my body AND i still had room left over! I've been a slow loser and today I barely hit the 30 lb weight loss mark (7 weeks post op) but its the little things that make it all worth it!! Wooo hooo!
  18. Thanks! I love Zumba!
  19. I went through the same thing. It took me between 3 n 4 weeks to be completely fine. We're all different so don't sweat it!
  20. I'm 6 weeks post op. has anyone tried doing Zumba around this time?
  21. I'm glad to see we are all speaking out about being "slow losers" I thought I was the only one. One a brighter note, I have been able to keep my surgery a secret (don't feel like being judged) being that I have been losing at a slow pace.
