  1. Everything I eat/drink makes me have horrible gas. No farting though, just burping. To make things worse, the burp always seems to be stuck in my throat and its the most horrible feeling! It's as if I want to vomit but it doesn't come out. The mornings are horrible. I wake up gagging (gas) for about 15 minutes. It has become my morning routine. My doctor told me to try gas x strips but I haven't seen any change. I'm over 2 months post op and hardly eat! :/ help!
  2. Feeling ten times better!
  3. I'm about 10 weeks post op and can barely take anything in. I might get in 2 spoonfuls of whatever it is I'm eating (chilli, chicken, etc) so my question is... Will I ever be able to consume anything more than that?
  4. Wow! I had surgery jan 24th n can barely tolerate 1/4 of a boiled egg. I'm jealous!
  5. I'm having the same problem. Today I'm 2 months post op. I have horrible acid reflux. Meeting with my doc on Tuesday, ill keep you updated.
  6. Tuesday can't come soon enough!
  7. I was taking Prilosec but that didn't work. I'm meeting with him on Tueaday so I'm hoping he tells me something encouraging.
  8. I've been pretty depressed the past 3 weeks (I'm 2 months post op). I wake up every morning throwing up (acid reflux - I already scheduled an appt with my doctor). I always feel extremely weak and I want to throw up after every single thing that goes into my stomach. It doesn't matter what I eat or how much I eat, I gag until I can no longer gag. It's been extremely unbearable. I don't know how to cope with this, is this normal?
  9. I just drank my pickle juice! Hopefully I wake up better. Is there a specific pickle juice you drank? How much did you drink?
  10. Pickle juice? I'm all about that!
  11. Hey guys! I messaged me doctor regarding this issue and this is what he replied... Its reflux. I would try using two pillows to sleep or sleeping on your belly. As you lose weight and time goes by it should improve. If its not improving come see me. You van uae phnergan for nausea as needed. I love that my doctor has Facebook, lol. So I'm sleeping with 2 pillows tonight and I'm hoping to not wake up with neck pain. Has anyone ever used phenergan?
  12. My doctor just recommended me something similar to that!
  13. I took DayQuil and was fine
  14. 8 weeks out and still getting used to soft foods. Don't sweat it!
  15. I do take a sip here and there while I eat, just habit I guess. I can't wait for this morning feeling to be over! I'm a teacher and right now I'm at the nurses office because I think I ate too fast. I feel like I'm never going to be normal again and I'm already 2 months op!
  16. So no matter how early I wake up, I always seem to be in a hurry. Any recommendations on some easy, yummy breakfast ideas?
  17. Usually when I feel full, it's because I ate too much and I get pain in my stomach. So I just eat to curve my appetite. I no longer feel the need to feel full.
  18. How long did it take for it to be completely gone while taking Prilosec?
