  1. Seeing that you were vomiting for so long, if it were me, I'd contact my physician to be checked. Every time you have a fill, they check to make sure it's properly placed. I hope all is okay!!!!
  2. Ohhhhh good to know. Thanks! I'm not a smoker, I didn't even think of that.
  3. Guy, I will do that with wings! and that's when I splurge.
  4. sweet, i might have to try it out. i've also been "thrift shopping" and popping tags!
  5. For me eating out is a treat. I don't want to revert to OLD BAD HABITS. I try to have healthier choices, which include chicken, fish, and meat. I also, attempt to have them prepared either grilled or baked. But I do restrict on the carbs. I save those for the NEED occasions. I'll also, request a double on the vegetable instead of potatoes, and usually the restaurants have no problem with that. I've removed the rolls from the table, and the waitress usually rolls her eyes too. I look for things which are made without carbs. No Pasta, no sandwiches, and sadly no burgers either. I've only had one burger since i started my journey.
  6. that is all.
  7. Omg! How exciting! I'm so happy for you, and I'll admit a little jealous! That is so freaking awesome!!! Celebrate and go shopping for your Sexy Back clothes!! You go girl!!!
  8. BayouGirl, um you're ruining there argument here. O.O and Alice, really? Why not something like Chandra, or Sher? Alice reminds me of the maid from the Brady Bunch! And um Ewww!!!
  9. Both Parisshel and Pulsetkr have excellent points. Don't worry about your "Winkies" so much, worry more about how you treat a woman overall. For me that is more than any wanker anyday.
  10. Well not to bust anyone's bubble, literally. But my doc said the carbonation isn't good for the band. Besides, why drink what's not healthy for you. Especially when you're making all these life changing habits. Just a thought.

** I guess Nike has something like it too, I think it's called the Fuel Band. I don't know anything about it except it is more than my FitBit ONE.

I know with the ONE it's sweat and rain resistant. But can't be submerged.
  13. Tye - and that's the reason women believe men are obsessed with their "Winkies". I find it amazing some men actually name it, as though it's a pet. O.o
  14. PS I actually did cancel my surgery, I probably would be closer to goal, I wound up having it 6 mos later. I wish I didn't cancel. But I did, now I'm not looking back.
  15. Well I can answer from a point of view as from someone who has lost 50+ pounds. I've attempted to do so on my own. But couldn't. I know like 6-7 banded patients and one sleeved. A couple I work with. I have been watching them since before I was banded. What I have noticed with them, is they have not really changed their habits. Sure some dieted, but when they hit goal, it was their excuse to gorge. Now, I really want this in a bad way. I have my reasons, first and foremost is my health. I am off all meds I was on before. I was near the point of becoming diabetic. Also because of my health, if it got worse, I could have lost my job, so that's the other reason. Lastly , for me! I haven't been perfect, I've been in situations when there Are no real healthy edible options. And I've cheated. But here's the thing, you have to learn moderation, know what things set you to eat, and pick healthier options. But most important is exercise - it's an eight letter word which is difficult at times to do, but if you do it, it's the best thing you could do for your body. There are so many things I've Changed about myself that I won't go back on. Like drinking pop. I only drink water now. In fact I hate the taste of anything diet now. So water pretty much is my drink. I don't do caffeine anymore either. It was so hard for me to give it up, I figure why go there. All it does is dehydrate your body and that in itself makes you hungry. These changes were huge to make. I try to eat better, lots more chicken and fish too. I believe deep down inside, we all know what we need to do. It's just doing it. I know for the times I've cheated, I'm just hurting myself. Therefore, I've been actually cheating less. I think when the time comes for me when I hit goal, I will celebrate. I will go shopping, or treat myself to something nice, or maybe I will have a dinner of what I like. But whatever I do, I won't go overboard, especially when it comes to food. I've worked so hard for all these changes. And to give them up just so I could eat crap everyday.....?? I don't think so. I know I want this. I watch people eat, bad carbs are like an evil drug. And I need to stay away from them, if I want to live to be an wise and sassy chick. I don't know if I answered you right. Or got off subject, I'm on my phone and it's hard to see what ya wrote. I hope this helps. And by the way, I have no regrets either.
  16. Well actually, size doesn't matter, it's what you can do with whatcha got. It could be huge, but if it's not doing the job, well it might have to be unemployed.
  17. . It's good to know you're walking around with the boys all loosey goosey in Silk.... !!!

I don't know. I only have the ONE. And it's fine. I hook it on my bra and forget about it. And I really do forget it's there. At night they give you a bracelet thing to insert it while sleeping. I guess so you don't loose it. For me personally, I don't think I want everyone seeing it. That's me though. With the ONE I don't need anything else.
  19. Wow lucky you for not getting anything stuck for so long. As for me, if I get too hungry, I eat faster and chew less then get stuck. If I keep myself hydrated and don't wait to long for meals I'm usually ok. And it hurts so much, I usually have to throw it up. After that I'm ok. But then, I eat so much slower and usually don't eat to much after that. I'm sore. I hate when it gets to that point so I really try to avoid that. And I swear, it's always when I'm really starving too. As B-52 stated, lesson learned.

  23. Remember, a healthy weight loss is approx 1-2 lbs a week. It can only be 1/2 lb at times. Look at the big picture. Patience....!! It didn't take a week to gain all this weight. Hang in there, it will come.
  24. Is the band failing me, no. As my weight loss shows that. Plus my choices and exercise show that. On days I fail myself, yes the weight loss stopped. I have multiple friends which were banded. And they have slowly gained weight from their poor choices. They are having milkshakes, candy, cocktails, and anything else you're not supposed to have. But it's not just that, they don't stop. They have one thing, then another, and another. Two of these girls hit goal, and expressed since they hit goal they can have it. Which is farthest from the truth. This is life long. Life long changes to a better and healthier you. So has the band failed me. No. At times I fail, and the band helped me get right back on track !
