Well I am the seventh and trust butterflies plus hunger pains are really here.. the closer to the date I get the more I just say Lynn remeber this is a fresh start...bye hye diabetes byebye high gh lbood pressure....hello fertility. ...I am 27 years old I am scared but on the other side of surgery we as a whole will improve our kive forever..we are strong for making it this far...we are on fire...hitter than a fantasy

How are our March 4 friends feeling? I pray for peace and calmed nerves as you enter this new phase. I look forward to celebrating with you when you are on the other side. I look forward to joining you.Next Friday is my date- so far the only one on the 8th. From what I understand' date=' gas pains seem to be the overwhelming complaint. Thanks for responding!! I'm so excited I know I've made a great choice. Like you can just tell they've got it together, you know? Do you recall what his surgeon's fee was? Rebecca was supposed to email it to me today and didn't. My insurance is 80/20, and I have to pay my part of the fee up front. I really appreciate it!

March is a BIG month for brave people that are taking a step closer to a better life and a healthier person.

I got my official surgery date today!! It's sooner than we had "penciled in"... March 18th!! Two weeks from Monday! I'm so excited! We submitted to insurance today as well! My pre op appointment is 3/8, and my EGD is 3/14! It's all hitting home now.... praying for smooth approval and no complications between now and then!

So far March 4th seems to be the first date of surgeries in our group! I just want you all to know I'll be praying for you, and my thoughts will be with you as well!! How are you guys doing with your pre op diets (if you have one) and what preparations are you working on? I'm all giddy with excitement, lol!!

I feel I have to clear something up. I say I fibbed my way through nutritional classes but I did not. I was told to maintain and not to loose any weight and not to switch over my diet. mayo is very strict and would not allow me to have surgery if I was not ready. I have not had to chew food to be like applesauce. I've only been told to make peices smaller then the nail on my pinky finger. I feel as thought I've cheated somehow but I have followed every doctor's order to the letter and beyond.

I hope everyone agrees with me when I say the last thing we need in our group is a judgmental attitude, encouragement and positive reinforcement are welcome. That being said, I thought you may have been referring to the actual doctors' visits. I had a sheet I had to take every month to get signed and it was soooooo tempting to forge a few, but I resisted, that wasn't very positive thinking, and I needed the time to prepare anyway. Your posts are so encouraging! Please accept my apology if I offended! Best of luck!

Okay, couldn't really tell by some of the names but from looking through the posts, I didn't see any guys on your list.
Surgery date is 11 March. Start my liquid diet tomorrow. I've read a lot about the nervousness and anxieties about getting closer to the actual date. Gotta tell y'all from a guys perspective it's no different. The scary part for me is about the liquid diet preop. After years of being on the "diabetic roller coaster" ( as one of you ladies put it), I'm really not looking forward to having to check my blood sugars that many more times in a day. Especially in the business setting I work in. Maybe it's a guy thing about showing one of my weaknesses...don't know.
Anyway, aside from all the anxieties I really am looking forward to having a new life. I'd be honored if you'd add me to the list for support and in return I'll offer all the prayers, support and well wishes that I can.
