  1. Maybe it's not how much but what. Potatoes are full of carbs and although on our list at first long term shouldn't be eaten often. You're Protein should be your biggest portion not your potatoes. Just a thought. Focus on high protein foods.
  2. Wow. That's awesome!!! Great job!!!
  3. I spent three months preparing for the sleeve. After surgery was scheduled I changed my mind for several reasons 1. I have bad acid reflux and sleeve can make worse 2. Only short term data on sleeve 3. Bypass is gold standard for WLS 4. I felt I needed more than just the restriction 5. I never could get comfortable with part of my stomach being trashed. 6. I wanted the faster weight loss 7. Sleeve has higher chance of leaks due to longer staple line and that was scary to me. 8. I prayed about it and feel God lead me to get RNY vs sleeve Those are just some of my reasons but ultimately it's up to you. Talk with your doctor and do what's best for you personally.
  4. I don't think it has anything to do with the gas. I would definitely do it if you feel constipated. You will not want to be straining after surgery. Be ready though it works.
  5. Bored not boed lol lol lol
  6. I'm in hospital because I had a stricture. My doctor wanted to keep me one more day because I live so far. I am so thankful to have a wonderful and cautious doctor and great insurance. And I'm so thankful they are fixing my problem. But I'm bored to death and really ready to go home.
  7. Thank you mami Thanks everyone for all your support and advice. I wouldn't have called my surgeon if it wasn't for you guys.
  8. I wasn't throwing up constantly but that's probably because I wasn't eating. I was dehydrated and low on vitamins especially potassium but getting all that through IV now. Hopefully by tomorrow all will be good.
  9. Take your measurements. Maybe you will be encouraged by that.
  10. I have to stay overnight. I'm glad to be on the mend though.
  11. It was a stricture. It was nearly closed up. I'm glad I called my surgeon. Thanks for the advice and support. My throat was funky so they ended up having to intubate me and knock me all the way out instead of just the IV meds but I should get better soon. He said it was pretty bad and unfortunately will probably have to be repeated but at least I know what the problem was. God is good!!!

  13. Claritin and Benadryl are both on list of ok medicine.
  14. Ugh so far it's awful. Nobody warned me the CT Medicine would make me get the runs. I tried to make it to the bathroom but couldn't get my pants down in time pooped all over myself had a crying spell had to wash my panties in the sick. Please tell me it's going to get better.
  15. Well sadly I'm not ok. I'm in hospital drinking nasty medicine for CT scan and tomorrow EGD and possible dilation. I can't keep any food down or if it stays down it hurts so badly. God is still great!!!
  16. I guess I'm not ok. I ate that half an egg yesterday hurting but kept it down and I just ate some turkey chili and so far so good. The chili did not hurt this time. Woohoo!! Thanks for the prayers!! God is great!!!
  17. Ok thanks everyone. I ate for the first time. It was only like half an egg and it took forever to eat it because it hurt in my chest after each bite, felt like a truck sitting on it. I just waited it out. It hurt but not absolutely unbearable like the other day. So does that mean I just need to work at it and eventually it will get easier?
  18. Lol. I haven't a clue what scope and dilate means but doctor said something like stretch it so I'm assuming it means that.
  19. Yeah he said if it is a stricture it will get worse and eventually I won't be able to get in liquids and I will get dehydrated. He doesn't want me to let it get to that point. He said to try soft foods and if I have issues call him. What do they do if it is a stricture?
