Hey guys! i am newhee and just got my surgery date yesterday. January 11th. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with Dr. Strom or his group? Would love to hear some experiences.

Chad you got this! I am 3 days post op and feeling good. Port sight is sore and stomach feels like I did a million sit ups. Pain is not bad at all and I also had a pretty big paraesophogeal hernia repaired. Suprisingly enough I am hungry or at least I think I am. It goes away with a little Jello but getting water and protein shakes are easier 3 days in. Honestly it does get tiring with the liquid diet stuff from pre op to 1st stage I just want to BITE something. Good Luck Chad and let us know how you do.

Sleeved yesterday and returned home a little while ago. Fluids going down OK. Port site is painful. Is this normal?

Got banded yesterday!!! Just got home. While in there the Dr. Repaired a paraesophageal hernia. Really sore at port site. Is this normal.

Hospital just called and I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow at 4pm. Horrible time and now because so late in the day I have to stay the night in the hosp. Bummer

Getting banded in NJ on Thursday the 28th just 2 days away!!!! Anyone else?

Well, after 2 years of contimplating this I went for my consultation today!!!! The amazing thing is that I have really good insurance and and was pre-approved (of course pending pre-op consults) and scheduled surgery for January 11th. Wow, now what? It is it normal to have the fears of the worst things that could happen run through your mind? That is what has held me up for the last 2 years, now it is a reallity and it makes those fears grow. Of course the reason for the fears are the exact same reasons I want to go ahead with surgery, family, health etc..... If someone can let me know this is normal and everyone goes through it, maybe I can rationalize it a little better. Anyway, great day and a busy next 2 months getting these evals done and let me know what you think. Thanks

I am Dec. 28th in New Jersey. Oh so ready for this.

My date is set for Dec. 28th. I go for pre op testing next monday and next friday for my final visit with surgeon before surgery!!!! The nerves are really starting to kick in. Hope I can do this

OK I was going to post the same message today. Lot's of questions and I want to see what has worked for some folks. I also want to to be prepared andwith the holidays coming up time will run out quick.

Good News. Since all is going well with ore op testing I may be moved from January 11 to December 28. Happy New Year to me.
