  1. Yep, that is what mine look like. I don't have that many in one area, just spread out from my neck to ankles. Yikes...yours looks painful! Have you gotten more, recently?
  2. My nut told me studies have shown patients that consistently eat a cup or more over 1-2 years can permanently stretch their pouch. It can happen, but it takes a lot of work. Good to know!!
  3. Met with Dr today (btw... 25# loss in 20 days!! Woop!!). He said hard to tell now, but most likely from the medications and/ or interaction with something in the blood stream. I haven't had any pain meds in 15 days.?? He said if I don't have any new ones then he's not concerned. I think it's been 3,4 days since a new one has appeared so hopefully I'm done!
  4. Raquel..I'm sorry to hear you are discouraged! Let go of any lies and remember these moments can actually make you stronger!!! You are very brave and I'm encouraged by your honesty and willingness to share! Thank you and big hug!!!
  5. I was very nauseous in the beginning. I still get it but not as much. DR said I just have a more sensitive stomac. Uggg.. First 2 weeks were not easy for me. Even though I've dumped twice, 3ed week has been much better! Hang in there!
  6. uggg....I was going to go to my first one last night....and TOTALLY forgot! Wish we could go together!
  7. Sorry.. What is NSAIDs? Slow brain lately...
  8. Totally random- Any one else get little red and incredibly itchy bumps after surgery?? Under my breast, on my belly, arms and legs. They drive me crazy!! I don't think they are bites cuz my family doesn't have any. I had an allergic reaction to the steri- strips. I have 3 week follow up tomorrow, I will of course ask. I'm sure the DRs hear the most random stuff! Good times!
  9. Welcome home! Sip your liquids, walk and then rest. I hope you have someone helping you recover! When you can concentrate reread the booklet from your surgeon and nut. I was so overwhelmed in the beginning, it really helped understanding my basic needs when released from the hospital. Hang in there!
  10. I'm also having a hard time eating today. Had cream of wheat this am and now trying to eat chicken and stars for lunch. I feel like I'm going to get sick again! I had NO idea this would be the journey. But, I'm sure it gets better!
  11. Were you able to tolerate eggs before surgery? I had a naturopath tell me I have a secondary allergy to eggs. I cut them out (eating eggs alone)9mos ago. Pre surgery I had been able to eat baked goods and a few other items that contain eggs. I thought I'd try them out again. It's hard to say if it was just eating to fast, or a combo of an allergy. I also have a few red bumps on my legs and chest that itch. I know it's not bugs, because my husband doesn't have any. Probably an allergy. Makes me sad, I love eggs! It will be a long time before I try them again...do not want to repeat yesterday!
  12. I was in massive pain yesterday, same thing! I tried eating some scrambled eggs and mins after I finished I could not wait for it to come up! Took about 15mins and then it was out. I think I ate too fast, only had 1 egg. It's horrible! I like the idea of a baby spoon!
  13. I can't wait to wear more color!!! Especially in pants and shorts!! I also look forward to wearing Polk a dots and not looking like a clown!! One more- not wearing shirts that make me look like I'm pregnant, wearing maternity clothes!
  14. Mamabear-you are on the soft food stage? I had my surgery day after you and I'm doing purees...with a few soft foods. I ate some deli meat today and chili. Gettin' crazy up here!
  15. I had the post op blues days 5-7 in the mornings. It was crazy, I was so sad! Both drs (surgeon and physc) said it's totally normal. My physc was surprised that my surgeon did not mention the possibility. It gets better, especially when you can get the fluids and protein in! Hang in there!
  16. I was already on my cycle and fortunetly it did not get heavier. My nurse and doc warned me it was a possibility.
  17. I concur with Pookybear. 30mins for a meal and in portions.
  18. Thanks. I tried a bit today and realized I wasn't missing much. I only had about an ounce and then I threw the rest out.
  19. I haven't done well with the protein shakes/powders, so my doctor is recommending a clear liquid protein. Any recommendations? Thanks!
  20. I have 10 in my fridge that I can't drink now. You can have them if you want to come to WA?
  21. I'm lucky enough to take 4 weeks off. I can not imagine going back to work after 1-2 weeks. I'm 10 days post op and now just getting my routine for meals and liquids. I'm using myfitnesspal and that is helping. I stopped taking pain meds after day 4. But, everyone is so different! I don't think I really had the gas pain, I was just severly nauseous and had abdominal pain. Now I'm just wanting to regain my energy, but I know that will come in time. I'm up to 500 calories a day! So far I can't handle the protein drinks, they go right through me.
