Well, how is everyone doing since the surgery? I went in at 367 day of, and as of last night, I am down to 299. Everything is still a learning stage for me and I am doing great. Not a single day goes by that I regret it. IT was the best decision for my life. Not only have I lost the weight, but I have also gained self confidence. It’s amazing just how much something like this can change us all for the better. I am grateful everyday. Just wanted to talk to someone and see everyone one else is doing.

I was sleeved Jan 24 2017. Yes my sleevaversary is around the corner
So much has happened. Since my surgery I have lost 100 lbs. I am 40 lbs away from my goal.
After four years being divorced my ex husband and I got remarried September 22 2017 I am truly blessed. Still have to get used to being called slim. I have gone from a 4x to a XL

I am doing ok, glad to hear about stalls. I started at 259 lbs and last weight was 226lbs. My Surgery was Nov 6th. I do not mind the protien shakes and bars. I have not had any problems with steak. But if I eat chicken I vomit? And yes I chew it up good. tuna stays down but is a bit painful for awhile. I'm trying.

Good morning, all!
Saw the scale budge downward this morning finally. Maybe my stall is over - but I'm not counting my chickens just yet! Some changes I've recently made that have helped are:
using a timer to make sure I am eating no sooner than 15 minutes after my last sip of any drink and drinking no sooner than 30 minutes after my last bite of food
using 1 oz cups to measure my food and liquid, making sure I consume no more than 4 of those little cups in one sitting
finding more lean Protein sources like beef Jerky, P3 protein packs, pork and smoked wild nova salmon from Trader Joe's.
eating Wild Friends Protein+ Peanut Butter. Kind of a weird texture but it's tasty!
no longer eating any dessert with sugar. I've switched to Voortman's sugar-free Cookies, Russell Stover sugar-free candy
drinking Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea and Wyler's light lemonade I can't stand Protein Shakes, Protein Bars or any sweet sources of protein with the exception of peanut butter, so I've struggled a bit getting enough protein. However, I'm hitting about 70 grams a day now (finally) and that is helping a lot! Before, I was only hitting about 50 grams.

Right after 5 weeks I hit the stall wall hardcore. The first 5 weeks I averaged a pound a day. The next 3 weeks I lost a total of around 4 pounds or so.
The sunshine phase is over

I stall for a couple days, then drop 1-2 in a day - so strange. Glad to be on a good track overall. Pretty much doing a pound a day as an average from the start. Less than 60 days from my surgery and quickly approaching 60lbs. Just saw a friend tonight that had the exact same procedure as me, and he is down just over 200lbs, and has maintained his current weight for the last 6 months with no problems. So awesome.

So thankful to know everyone else is experiencing the same stall. I've been stuck at 263 for two weeks!

I lost a bunch of weight quickly for the first three weeks, then hit the three week stall everyone talks about on this forum. Stayed stalled for a week or two, then the weight loss started again. Now the weight loss is less dramatic if you look at it day by day (0.2 lbs here, 0.6 here, etc) but it helps to look at it week by week. For example I thought last week was pretty slow weight loss wise, but then I looked at my weekly view on MFP and realized I'd actually lost four and a half pounds in a week. I would have killed for that a few months ago!

Same exact thing here, lost 24 pounds quickly, then nothing for 2 weeks. It's comforting to know that it's apparently very common.

I had my surgery on the 27th of November as well and I am down a little over 20 lbs and I am stalling right now too, it is very frustrating! Let me know if you start losing weight faster after you incorporate working out. I am only allowed to be walking for now, I am trying to walk everyday but still at a stall.

I'm so glad I read this. I'm at 5 weeks and am stuck, too. Now I don't feel so alone. The people that know about my surgery keep asking me "well, how much have you lost now," and I just tell them I'm not weighing right now..... :-)

This makes me feel better. I lost 30 lbs in the first month and then it slowed down and then stopped for over a week. I hit 6 weeks out this week and just had my first loss in over a week today. I know it’s normal but damn is it frustrating to live through.

I stopped losing for 2 weeks about 4 weeks after my rny surgery and then miraculously started to lose weight again. It's pretty normal. These stalls are pretty normal.

Yes! I was sleeved 11/21 and I lost 29lbs quickly. But for almost two weeks now I haven’t lost a thing. I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do. But, so many people on here and in my support group say this is perfectly normal and can last a few weeks and to try not to be discouraged. So, I’m trying, haha, and just working the plan. Hope that helps!

Feeling like I lost a lot of weight very quickly, and now it's a slow crawl. I had my surgery on 11/20--anyone else experience this?

SeaSounders♥ reacted to NatureLover888 in TOMORROW...The Big Day!
Hello, Bariatric Buddies!
TOMORROW is my big day! After about 32 years of being in the range of chubby to overweight to morbidly obese, TOMORROW is the day I take back my life! So excited and nervous! I have been wanting RNY for about 14 years now! I almost did it twice in the past, two false starts...looks like the third time is the charm!
Excited and nervous. Packing my bag tonight OF COURSE I have been a procrastinator! Eating sugar-free Jello and Water until my eyes pop (3 Day Clear liquid diet pre-op!) and I already lost about 10 pounds before...
Would LOVE a Surgery Twin for the RNY or at least someone in the same week as me! <3 Thank you all for being here!
