  5. First post. Had gastric sleeve surgery November 29. I was in a lot of pain after the surgery, maybe because the doctor also fixed a 25 year old hiatal hernia that he said was very large. But I was walking soon and that helped a lot. By the end of the surgery day I was feeling better than I expected My first day after surgery was surprisingly easy, it may have been because of the drugs because the second day I was more sore and irritable. Now on day 3, heading into 4 I am better. I am drinking water flavored with Crystal Light, protein shakes and eating popsicles and jello. Hardest part is I am slightly repulsed by anything resembling milk since I am lactose intolerant, even by stuff I know is lactose free. I am drinking a plant based protein shake that I tolerate well. Looking forward to posting and reading here.
