  1. Oprah, day 3 was the worst for me. After day 3 I felt better each day. The port site is still a bit tender a little over 2 weeks later but it's nothing unbearable. Hang in there!!
  2. I recognize you from tumblr hiii! 5 days, so close!!!
  3. I'm starting to feel hungrier faster and notice that I'm picking up Snacks (healthy ones like grapes and cheese) but still... My appointment isn't until Oct 23 and that's when I'll begin transitioning from puréed and mushies to solids so I already know I won't be getting a fill. I don't think I'm sabotaging my diet by my recent snacking but I do know it's not a good habit. I'll just keep calorie counting and walking and hopefully I don't hit a stall! :/

  5. I made an iced coffee with 1 scoop vanilla Unjury, 1 K cup from my keurig, 1c skim milk, and 3tbs sugar free creamer. Delicious and 37 grams of protein!
  6. Today was the first day I thought a diet Pepsi sounded nice. Oh so nice. There is one sitting in the fridge too. I'm a pansy when it comes to pain and I've heard the bubbles hurt so I'm afraid to try it and that's probly a good thing. They aren't good for us anyway!!!
  7. CONGRATS!!! I am so happy you got your date! 5 weeks will fly by and it sounds like you have a great team to help you out! It's only week 2 for me and I can say that I am already so happy I did this. Happy late birthday by the way ))
  8. I tried but I have exercise induced asthma! So I was miserable about 5 minutes in. My insurance runs out soon so I'm gonna see about getting an inhaler because I would LOVE to learn to run. Right now I'm fast walking and it's ok.
  9. Walk walk walk walk!! I'm doing 30-40 min a day and started about 4 days post op. I'm down 19lbs since the 17th!
  10. I'm down 19lbs so far! Yay!
  11. I'm using a product called NeriumAD. It's advertised for anti aging but it's also incredible for lightening/diminishing scars. I'm only 24 and use it on my face too lol. I'm so in love I started selling it. Let me know if you want more info to look at )
  12. Facebook is cruel! Hahah!
  13. I had a 6 month requirement from my insurance as well. At first I thought I was supposed to meet with my doctor but my actual medical group called me for placement in the classes. I went to one group class a month where we wrote down goals and marked progress from the previous month and got weighed in. On top of that I had 3 visits with a physical therapist and 2 visits with a psychologist. I did have an appointment with my surgeon in the beginning but nothing productive really came out of it except meeting her lol. The 6 month process goes a lot faster than you think. Good luck!
  14. Watch Food Network during mushy stages, lol.
  15. My surgeon was 1-2 weeks liquid post op but since I was doing so well at my post op apt she advanced me early.
  16. each day will get better, promise!!! Just relax! Take short walks and stay hydrated
  17. How wonderful!! I haven't put the news out on Facebook about mine yet.... Maybe soon haha.
  18. Whew barely 3 tablespoons of my cauliflower mash and I feel not full but ... Done
  19. I'm a full week and 2 days post op. It took me about 5 days to sleep just ok without being propped up. Now I'm finally sleeping on my tummy and able to roll over no problem. Sometimes I'll get a tiny twitch of pain/discomfort but nothing that is unbearable. Like others said, use the pain meds to sleep. I recommend regular strength liquid Tylenol for during the day!
  20. Have you tried muscle milk light? They are less protein tasting to me. Also I've been adding coffee and sugar free caramel syrup to vanilla protein powder and there is no aftertaste and it's like a vanilla caramel latte.
