I rode a bike when I was younger, but not a beasty Harley so I'm not worried. Chris points at the horn while telling me to adjust the mirrors - he's a bad instructor, so I'm taking the class to make my friends happy and to reduce our insurance. I really don't wanna do the whole, "Harley Mamma" thing. I'd like to incorporate the bike ever so gently into my world. We'll go to Laughlin for the bike run, but if Chris starts talking Sturgis he's gonna have to get himself a girlfriend!

I made it up and down our long block, turning in 10 tight culdesacs last week. I'm taking a DMV-approved 3 day class at the end of September, so I hope to be licensed by then, which is a couple days before my b-day. So hubby better sell a guitar or something to buy me a leather jacket and gloves by then!

Sorry girls, but I'm not buying these "labors of love" as good deeds. But that's okay because I started this challenge just to get one day of good eating under my fat belt, which hasn't happened yet. I could say I just did a good deed by covering my mouth while sneezing! Marie's got the market on good deeds covered - Marie, I'd have married him after opening that cat food with a pocket knife, too! I got up and walked to the park (the long walk, not the short one) then did abs on my new Total Gym. Last night I did arms & shoulders. But last night I ate - even after chatting with Nurse Grossness! However, I had a nervous breakdown yesterday, and today I'm feeling more normal. Let's hope I don't eat tonight. Last night I ate a bowl of poofy Doritos and a 2nd portion of dinner. Nothing fatal like the night before, but still "eating in front of the TV at night" which is the one habit I need to break if I ever want band success. Teresa, you sound like me with all that crying. It went away, but when I initially lost the 40 pounds I was an emotional roller coaster. Hormones n' junk. I miss school and the insanity of cramming for tests; the sciences almost killed me, and I only had 2 of them for my AA. But when you walk that stage, it will be worth every tear. I'm at work, so I guess I should do some. Thanks for everyone being here!

I had your garden variety nervous breakdown yesterday. So I took the day off work. But I'm back to work today and feeling better. I was able to get a couple buddies to chat with me - my nurses! Thanks girlies! I did not ride the Harley, but I did watch the video and started reading the book. I'm going to ride her this weekend, but only up and down the block till I'm licensed.

"Good Deed for the Day- I stayed home and kept my chili farts to myself." Good thing I wasn't drinking when I read that one! I did a good deed without even realizing it, so do I get to lose some weight now? I went to the clothing resale shop but only gave them my ironed stuff. Then I drove across town and gave the 2 stuffed lawn bags of un ironed stuff & shoes to Opportunity Village, but it's hard to consider it a good deed because I asked for a receipt for a tax write off. This new girl started at my work and she's into numerology and astrology; she told me Mercury is in retrograde, and that's why I'm all screwballs. She said after September 2, things will smooth out. It's all I got to go by, so I'm hanging on for dear life! B- coffee with cream and sugar. L- Protein shake: 2% milk, 2 tblspn coconut, big squirt chocolate sauce, nectarine, 2 Fiber tabs, 1 tblspn Protein powder & 2 Vitamins. No exercise... yet. Still debating if it's a good idea.

You guys all rock. Thanks for sending the vibes... I'm inhaling them all in now & feeling a little better this afternoon. My body, mind, spirit and soul apparently really needed to take the day off work. I've been so mentally busy that I even forgot to feel guilty about playing hookie. Well, I'm leaving to hit the streets to look for a pimp or a vacant dance pole so I can pay the mortgage - my husband did this to me. Why oh why oh why do we put up with love? I'm suing Michael Jackson since he holds the rights to all the Beatles' songs. John Lennon really screwed us all up because All You Need is NOT just Love! Oh, that was easy for him to $ing, wasn't it? I'm filing a lawsuit claiming emotional damage from years of that message being pounded in my brain, which subliminally forced me to marry my 9 year old husband against. Yeah, that's right, it's John Lennon's fault! Shelly, you look awesome! And to my nurses, as soon as I get home I'll see if you're on line. I have lots left to do today but feeling a little better just seeing you guys are all there.

The best I can do for today considering my stress level was that my car really tried to drive through Del Taco, but I fought it off bravely and came home and made a Protein shake. That was only 1/2 the battle though since I slugged it down as if it were in a beer bong. Now I'm leaving to hit the streets to look for a Plus Size Pimp. I need quick cash - anyone know where I can find a pimp that represents Big Beauties?

Snow angels are exactly what I need! No lie, that would do the trick, and stress is my exact problem. Stress/anxiety/worries always leads to this dumpy kinda eating. When I feel good, I eat good. Last night I was so disgusted that I came home and laid on the couch and even fell asleep. Chris kept complaining about having no coffee and even asked me to get dressed to go to the store with him. I refused. He asked me to clean up my kitchen mess. I refused. I told him "I'm learning to act like a man so we can get along better." He didn't like it. This man has been whining about not having coffee for over a week. I just don't get it. So yes, stress, stress, stress. That's why I called in sick. To de-stress and take care of me. Little things help, like fixing my closets. I despise disorganization, so if I clear out closets, for some reason it's therapy. The reason I waited till I was 37 to get married was because I told Chris that I never wanted to end up in a "Peg and Al Bundy" or "Edith and Archie Bunker" relationship. I never wanted to bitch about my man, or nag at him, or have him call me a nag. He said it would never happen, but that seems to be where we are these days. Last time I cleaned out my closet, he immediately saw all that new space and crammed it full of crap. He's gonna come home to a whole new ballgame. I'm gonna reorganize everything and stand in front of my clean closets with a shotgun!

Hi Marie, I already made today's big mistake. I totally forgot how bad coffee bothers my band. I'm already supposed to avoid caffeine since I have a lifelong history of anxiety disorder, but today I had a hitch-in-m'-getalong and had half a cup diluted with Water. I'm all shakey and grossed out, and my bandbelly hurts some. I'm gonna go do something to help my financial situation today. My credit has always been so important, that I think I'd feel better knowing I've got it under control. I quit my job at the Avenue because sometimes I have to do dumb stuff to learn the hard way, and working there was a waste of valuable time. It would be a different story if they paid commission, but I'm going to look at alternate means of a 2nd income. I make purses and welding caps and used to bring in a couple hundred extra a month. I was selling left and right, so everyone pushed me to start marketing. My sister built a website, I had business cards and labels made up. But the day I started marketing them is the day they quit selling. Funny world, Murphy and all his laws. I'm gonna go measure out a gallon of water and make sure to drink the whole thing today for starters. Thanks for being so cute and being my friend : )

Penni, my insurance doesn't cover the band, so they certainly won't cover port replacement? I'd be at Dr. Billy's in a heartbeat. There's no possible way I can afford Billy. He's twice the cost of Kuri, who'll be about $2 grand for port replacement and travel. Billy would charge $2 grand just for the hospital, plus his fee, anesthesia, and travel. If I had that kinda dough, I'd have had the band placed locally from the getgo. Billy said he'd take me on with no problem... oh, except the problem of he wants money, and lots of it! There's no possible way. If I had my port, it might be a different story, but until I heal, it's a moot point anyway. I haven't even paid Kuri for the removal yet. So If I don't have $800, and I don't have $2000, then where am I gonna get $4000? Unless I record my version of "Like a Virgin" in John's studio and it rips to number one, but William Hung already cornered that market and stole my chance.

What's your screen name? For those of you that have AIM Instant Message, please add me to your Buddy List, my screen name is DeLarla. If you help me, I'll be here for you one day. All I need is people to chat with the second I get home from work (4:45 - 5:00 p.m.) Vegas time. That way I'll come home from work and be forced to log in to for some cheerleading before facing my kitchen - if I had my choice, I'd bash the walls in and install a gym. Why the heck do I need a kitchen? I'll take anything: subliminal messages, military commands, threats, cooing... anything to convince me that I can get back on track of small plates & small bites. Thanks!

HELP ME. I think what my husband did with the Harley and F-ing our finances up is eating me alive, cuz last night was bad. I'm reading your portions and need help. I did fantastic till I came home. Ate Pringles & dip. Then made one of those Caesar salad in a bags but added pounds of shredded cheese. Then ate a huge ice cream bar and a wad of Doritos, like my band didn't exist. Then I started eating chicken and finally got the golf ball and finally stopped. I'm pretty scared right now because regardless of what my band is doing, my head hasn't changed. I woke up wishing I could call in sick today for some "me" time, but I wouldn't dare. But I just read my horoscope, and that's exactly what it said to do, so I just told the boss I have a splitting headache and I'm not going to work. I could gag at the way I ate last night - not because it's only one night, but because it's a step away from my old behavior, plus I put 2.5 pounds back on a week ago and it's creeping up 1/2 pound at a time. Maybe I'll find an OA or AA meeting. I'll drive all my fat clothes somewhere, either the resale shop or Safe Nest. I've been saving (hiding) a piggy bank stuffed with several pounds of silver, which was supposed to be my mad money to save for a vacation, but I'd feel better cashing it in to cover bills (thanks, Chris.) I wish we could all be together today cause I could really use a big, fat laugh! Oh, I'll probably be calling you all today because I'm striving for an all liquid day. I hope I can do it... if I can stick to liquids one day, I think I can get back on track. xoxox

Neicy, there's something fishy going on since nobody in Las Vegas will touch me. One of the three doctors will give fills to Mexican patients, but they said their med-mal insurance won't allow them any other care. As far as setting up aftercare in advance, I thought I had it covered since my Mexican surgeon gave me a personal referal to Dr. Teng, but when I contacted Teng, he basically told me, "no way."

Hmm, did I actually start this? I just wanted a one day challenge to get back on track. So I'll stick to my original challenge, which Michelle and Penni accepted, of exercising, a Protein shake, a decent lunch and a small dinner. So far this damn challenge managed to get my butt out of bed. If I didn't challenge you guys, I would have kept laying there. But I walked my dogs to the park and back (30 min today) then did some arms on my Total Gym. Then I had my low cal Protein Shake (didn't add chocolate syrup.) I'm behind on my Water, but the day is young. I brought a can of tuna for lunch, plain. So far, so good.

My Mexico doctor referred me to a local doctor for follow up. But doctors here aren't allowed to take on patients banded in Mexico because their Med Malpractice insurance won't allow it. I'm sure the doctors would love to help us; unfortunately they can lose their license.

Well, the doing a good deed thing is already part of my secret world. I spent years going to OA, and there's a "Just for Today" list that I "try" to live by as best as I can, and the "do a good deed" thing is supposed to be "do a good deed without anyone knowing you did it." Otherwise it doesn't count in my head. But I'll make my neighbor, Fred, his welding cap he requested since he just shaved his head bald. How's that? Today's eating was like pre-band. If I don't get back on track I'll be asking Safe Nest and the Vets for my biggy clothes back.

I just woke up from a long hog size nap. I've been losing sleep for several weeks and only getting 4-5 hours a night. I just read some of my posts that looked like a 3rd grader wrote so I edited a couple words. I dig the edit feature... now we need spell check!

You're on, Michelle. Tomorrow I'm starting by taking my furbabies to the park (about 45 min round trip walk) then doing some reps with my new Total Gym for my arms & upper bod. Protein shake for breakfast, 1/2 can tuna with carrots for lunch, a small plate with some fruit for dinner. Period.

Penni was laughing because she KNOWS she's got this thing beat after the way she saw me eat yesterday! That's why I just posted a challenge on another post. NO MORE wild weekends till the bash. My life has been one long party since May, and time to get to business. Penni and I traded exercise machines, so we both have motivation for a new type of exercise - though that cheater has an entire gym room with lots of equipment. She could very easily kick my butt with this challenge, but Madam, all those clothes you sent give me lots of incentive. I can't believe I'm fitting in 20s! I figured it would be a few months before I could wear them, but I'm wearing those pants this week! Thank you again!

Marie, would you come here every week and make some tuna salad for my fridge? That sounds so good right now! And I do the cranberry Water thing too, so thanks for reminding me to restock. Sue, I tried to PM you but your box was full. You could delete the "sent" stuff to make room. But I can't remember what I was even going to say since it was last week. Tomorrow's a new day and a new week... time for me to get band-serious again. Any challengers for the week? I challenge YOU (who ever accepts) to exercise and eat 3 meals by chewing slowly with no inbetween Snacks.

Questions regarding pain
Luckily my gas is normally just a bunch of hot air (laughing) with not much odor. The bad ones seem to come around that lovely special "feminine time." My husband says period farts are the worst! I keep a can of Apple Lysol at work just in case. Embarrassing, but I'd fart the alphabet if I could drop another 40 pounds!
