  1. I haven't had issues with it.. I love coffee and I drink real coffee in the morning with half and half.. sometimes I will get a sugar free hazelnut iced coffee at Starbucks.. what kind of problem are you having? sleep problem or jittery? some people can't tolerate real coffee...
  2. I applaud your effort and hope you are the one who will be successful.. I know from my past experience I lost 60 lbs and regained 75.. I am not sure why the band works except the restriction allows me to feel satisfied and in control so I know it has kept me at 50 lbs loss with no gains... I truly hope you come back and let us know how you are doing..
  3. I was going to say it looks like your calorie intake is too low.. I would increase a little and take in more good clean protein..
  4. so sorry to hear about your gallbladder .. the surgery for that is so easy now a days.. I had my gallbladder out years ago when they still cut you from one end to the other.. they simply suck it out your navel today.. you will have a easier recovery than from the band... take care
  5. I had the worst stuck episode with chicken at a Japanese steak house... I can eat chicken thighs but not breast. even if I chew like crazy and eat slowly I still get stuck.. I have decided to stay away from white meat chicken..
  6. I have lost 50 lbs and now people are saying how much more are you gonna lose? I had a goal when I started and I am hoping to meet it.. yes people that know you as heavy think you are too thin when you lose a good deal of weight.. I am sticking to my plan ...
  7. yes I am sure the flu would help with loss... I know when I was on hcg.. I lost a lb a day and that was drastic.. but it came back with a vengeance... make sure you are getting enough vitamins and water...
  8. vitamin D, multivitamins all gummy/chewy b12 is sublingual.. I have to take Crestor for now.. but my Dr. cut the dose in half so I cut the pill in half..
  9. I would like to know how anyone loses 40# in a month.. that is 10 # a week.. If it's true you are a wonder woman of weight loss..
  10. Aren't you just too cute... what a difference girl you have taken 20 years off of your age... I hope for continued success.. 80 lbs is a very good loss...
  11. I live in the most humid State , Florida, no problems with band tightness.. IN fact I was worried about the change if I traveled.. I just got back from Colorado which has no humidity and did not notice any difference...
  12. I am worried... throbbing pain? there was pain after surgery.. any abdominal surgery will be somewhat painful but I wouldn't call it throbbing.. Some people have a lower pain threshold than others but I would call my surgeon if I was in that much pain.... walking, drinking and make sure you take your pain meds before it becomes throbbing...
  13. Her eggplant parm is awesome... my husband thinks it's better than Olive Garden... I also have made the slow cooker Braciole..
  14. average loss with the band is 1-2 lbs a week it will be slow but if you follow the rules you will be successful....
  15. very nice...55 lbs is a great loss...
  16. It is always recommended that you call your Dr. if it persists... I cannot do lettuce .. I sometimes can eat a little romaine.. but lettuce is not my friend.. really it doesn't have much nutritional value and definately doesn't have protein so I use my calories for better things.... I used to eat lots of salads and apparently it didn't make me lose any weight..lol . so, I would drink some protein drinks or liquids til the irritation gets better...
  17. shouldn't be a problem... I was called but my husband was undergoing chemo at the time, I explained to the Judge and she said no problem... didn't even ask me for proof which of course I had..
  18. Love both recipes.. I have always loved cauliflower so it's easy for me... I like most vegetables and am always looking for good ways to fix them thanks
  19. love eggplant and all of the squash's... mashed cauliflower is every bit as good as mashed potatoes.. I found a good eggplant parmasean recipe on emily bites.com it is great.. my husband loves it and it's low cal, good for you ...
  20. sounds like you are too tight.. 8 cc's is quite a lot .. I was banded in Jan and only have 2 cc's in my band.. so far.. I would call the surgeon and or staff and see if they can remove some ...
  21. sounds like a great time.. shopping is such fun when you can find cute things in smaller sizes... another great reason to lose weight and get healthy....
  22. toot away I also spent the day with my granddaughter in the pool and we played marco polo and had noodle races.. it was great.... another reason to lose weight....
  23. Don't be discouraged.. the band will not stop you from eating bad.. that is up to you... I have very little restriction.. about 2 cc's total since surgery.. I can still eat crap if I want to.. but I don't...try to track what you are eating.. that helps.. even though I don't have a lot of restriction, I know that the band will give me a signal when I am eating too fast or too much.. it might be a little burp or hiccup but I know what it means.. listen to your body and your band..
  24. Fantastic... shopping is so much more fun when you aren't in the plus size any longer... keep up the good work....
  25. Yep 20lbs is great... I agree with obsessing over the scale.. stay off the scale a few days at least . start tracking what you eat on the myfitnesspal or some other app... it really does help. I never liked tracking my food but I do it now to keep me on track.. I only lose 1-2 lbs a week but that is okay...
