  1. Hi all. I have a 11 week old baby girl and after giving birth I lost ten kilos straight away. Eleven weeks on and ive gained back a few kilos. Have 5ml in my band and I have been eating okay and exercising a bit (not too much though as im breastfeeding). Starting to worry about why my body isnt losing weight. Could this mean that something is wrong with my band. I had it to tight a couple weeks ago so hand some fluid taken out and now I can eat healthy foods but im still gaining. Any advice and tips would be much appreciated
  2. Hi everybody, I have am 26 weeks pregnant and have 5mls in my band. Have not noticed too much restriction in my eating but sometines after eating I get a aching pain on my left side. I wonder if this is where the band is now sitting as my uterus pushes up. in concerned that my band is getring damaged or worse my stomach. Ive nearly gained 10 kilos during this pregnancy and im really anxious about the gain but im even more anxious that my changing body may be damaging my band...
  3. Hey all. Just hit the three month mark and noticing my bump is a bit bigger than I would expect for this point of time. It kinda just jumped outta nowhere I almost look six months along not three. But I haven't gained that much weight. Normal?

    4 weeks with Band Question

Hi teacher girl. It sounds too me Lyk your band may be too tight at the moment. Especially if you can only get down ssoups and liquids before 2. Be very careful though u may initially lose weight this way eventually u will start to gain weight again (this happened to me). Your band has to be in the right zone, too loose or too tight can cause major concern. Try removing a small amount to start with. You should be able to eat a healthy chicken salad and be satisfied afterwards in the right zone. I advise doing this asap as it sounds to me that you aren't in the zone. But if you do wait the 6 week mark is usually when morning sickness will begin and it's very important to be able to get some nutrients to you and your baby during this time as eating can become very difficult at this stage. Good luck and keep us informed. P.s I'm 10 weeks pregnant and I have a sustainable amount in my band where I can still eat enough for baby and me but I don't overeat.
  5. I can't help but feel a bit anxious about gaining weight whilst pregnant. Anybody else feel the same?
  6. So over the last three months I've gained ten kilos back after losing 25 kilos since my banding three years ago. My doctor thinks I had too much fluid in my band so we have been trying to find the right balance for the past month with no success so far. This has been really depressing for me and to make matters worse now I'm pregnant and so terrified of the potential weight gain that it's overtaking my excitement of the baby coming. Can anybody relate to this or have any advice?
