  1. That'll be here before you know it!! Congrats!! Keep us updated on how it goes!
  2. I agree with what everyone else has said. If you're truly hungry, eat! I believe I've found my green zone, but I still struggle with being hungry in the evenings. I work 3rd shift every other week, so my body is always confused. haha I just always make sure I have good, healthy Snacks available at all times. As long as you're making good food choices, there's no need to suffer with hunger.
  3. Yup! I'm cold CONSTANTLY!! I used to run around in -5 weather with no jacket on! Now, I'm bundled up when it's 30 outside! haha I just say it's because I've lost all my insulation
  4. Oh, sorry!! I just saw in your profile Lap-Band surgery, and you posted in the lap band Q & A's! That answers why you aren't going in for an adjustment! Take care! I hope you get things figured out, and your pouch is not stretched!
  5. I'd suggest going in for a fill if you feel you're eating too much, and not feeling satisfied. That's the great thing about the band, it's adjustable
  6. Sounds like you're doing great! Congrats!
  7. Please keep us updated on what he has to say tomorrow.
  8. It can take awhile for a fill to settle. Hopefully, a small unfill will do the trick! Make sure to address all your concerns with your doctor! Take care! PS...I just noticed we have the same surgeon
  9. It all depends on what your surgeon requires. I had to drink 2 shakes and have 2 bars (both provided by my dr's office), and I could have one small meal a day with just 3oz lean Protein, and unlimited veggies that were listed in my directions. Good luck to you!
  10. You're doing amazing, and look so beautiful! Congrats!!
  11. I had no issues at all when I flew. No tightness, nothing. Enjoy your trip to Hawaii
  12. Congrats!! Only advice I have is to follow your surgeons directions, both pre op and post op Good luck, and keep us posted on how it goes!
  13. I think there's sometimes confusion about the word "restriction" (I know it took me awhile to figure this out!) The band shouldn't be so tight that you physically can't eat, or that you're pb'ing/getting stuck. You should be feeling satisfied on less food, and staying satisfied longer...based on what you wrote, your band is doing exactly what it's supposed to! Just make sure you're following the Protein first rule, as that's what will fill you up and keep you satisfied.
  14. You look fabulous!!! So healthy, and beautiful! Congrats!
  15. I can really see a difference! You look great, Congrats!
  16. I'm sure it's just swelling from surgery, and will go away. Make sure you're taking your time when trying to eat or drink...very small bites/sips and waiting in between. I know for me, it took over a week before I could finish half a yogurt. Of course, if you're concerned, you can always call and discuss it with your surgeon. Congrats on your surgery, and good luck on your new journey!
  17. The port site always takes the longest to heal. I had port pain for quite some time after surgery. I couldn't sleep on my stomach for over 6 weeks. It'll get better, just hang in there!
  18. I do think some loose skin in inevitable. Just make sure you exercise regularly from the beginning. I have been terrible with exercise, and have the sagging skin to prove it. Ick! I will not be having cosmetic surgery, so I'll either have to get my butt in gear and try to tone some of this up, or just learn to deal with it!
  19. Haha, I'm always cold, too! I guess that's what happens when we lose all our insulation!
  20. Amazing, and inspiring! Congrats!
  21. Congrats to you! Peppermint tea is one of my favorites
  22. I'm right there with you! I call myself a recovering food addict, and some days I seriously question if I'll ever beat it!
