I'm the same way as you and my husband doesn't understand why I won't let him. For me, it just makes me feel really uncomfortable and that prevents me from enjoying it.

I'm sure everything will be fine. I think most people get a little stressed when it gets down to the wire....I know I'll probably be a basket case. LOL. Good luck next week

I wasn't trying to be a hater or come across as rude and if that is how it was perceived, I'm sorry. You said you were afraid you might not make the cut and I was just telling you what I'd read. I just know that when i was looking into everything that is the information I came across and I was just putting it out there. With my insurance, those are the requirements, but as I've come to realize on this forum...everyone's situation, dr, insurance, etc is different. Good luck to you.

What about a 30 BMI? I thought I read somewhere that they were only approved for above 35?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but lap band is only for people with a bmi of 35 or higher. And 35-40 bmi patients must have at least two comorbidities...ie diabetes, hypertension, etc.

My husband wasn't very supportive at first either. But after attending a few appointments and really discussing it he has done a complete 180. Just sit down and have an honest conversation with her. It's hard, but it helps. And of course, you always have the support of all of us on LBT.

It's where they "fold" the bottom half of your stomach "in half" and stich it in place. It's kinda like a sleeve...but no cutting of the actual stomach. Don't know if I explained it well.

I am also on the 6 month supervised diet. I started last week. My doctor told me to just keep a journal of everything I eat and bring it in once a month. I was told to just do a regular, eat healthy, watch caloric intake diet. Easy peasy!
