6 Month Supervised Pre Op Diet

Hi everyone. My ins is going to require me to complete a 6 month weight loss diet before surgery that must be md supervised. My question to you all is: what type of diet did you have to complete if you had to? And was it a general eat healthy plan or a specific program like weight watchers?

Yes hopefully that will satisfy my insurance. but if they are not satisfiedI will have tp diet for 6 months. I hope I wont have to wait that long. I have already qualified with most of the other criteria

I am also on the 6 month supervised diet. I started last week. My doctor told me to just keep a journal of everything I eat and bring it in once a month. I was told to just do a regular, eat healthy, watch caloric intake diet. Easy peasy!

I just finished my six months and I had to track everything I ate and keep under 1400 calories a day. I printed it and took it to my dr. At each months visit. My surgeons office recommended I keep track of it on my fitness pal. I also needed to note on it that I exercised at least 3 days a week. Good luck my six months flew by now I'm waiting to hear from insurance. Just submitted last week. Fingers crossed :)

I had the same and it was pretty much a joke, a doctor just has to supervise you, I didn't have a diet was just told to eat healthy. I got weighed and measured once a month and that was it
