New Here

I have finally made the decision to move forward with lapband. I have thought about it a lot and have decided to do it. Very nervous- tons of questions. Our insurance covers it at 90% so if I don't do it now- I don't think I ever will. Looking for support- tons of it:-)

I looked online. I don't think I'm looking over $2500 out of pocket and that's on the steep side. I have a $250 hospital deductible on top of that. My office co pays are $15 so I have started putting back. I have to do my 6 months so I have time.

You have come to the right spot because this is support central! Congrats on your decision and there is a lot to learn..

Hi New Here...lol.

Congratulations to all of you on considering a procedure for weight control, whether band or other it's all about You and your health.

My overall bills were a little over $38,000 and my out of pocket max was $1500 per year. They also repaired a hiatal hernia under my breast bone area. I got stuck with $1280 including a hospital co-payment of out-patient $100. I have BCBS Anthem insurance. My surgeon includes all fills with NO office co-payment for one year.

Best wishes
