    Intense burning

I called them and they wanted me to come in for an unfill. I don't think they are related. I've been in my comfort zone for six months now and I've been doing great. I don't want to mess with the green zone. We are leaving for vacation tomorrow and this couldn't be happening at a worse time.

    Intense burning

I'm almost 9 months out from surgery. Everything has been fine up until recently. I take gas-x and it helps and I put an ice pack on my back and stomach. But the pain is horrible. I am barely eating anything in fear of this happening.

    Intense burning

I really hope someone can help me understand what is going on. An hour or so after eating, even bland normal things I get this intense burning in my stomach and lower back. I then start to burp non stop, I'm assuming gas build up? I've experimented with many different foods, it happens with almost everything.

    Band slipped?

Haha- thanks guys. Well my doctor told me a horror story of a guy eating a donut at a golf outing. He caused vascular constriction and his band slipped. I figured all it took was a donut!

    gas pain

Gas-X, tums, etc. I lay down then move your torso up slowly and it usually comes out.
  6. How would you know if your band slipped or if you caused vascular constriction to your stomach? I screwed up and took one bite of my daughter's pretzel and I nearly died! It got stuck and the pain was horrible. I was in Walmart too so I rushed out to the parking lot where tons of mucous came up. Now I'm sore.

    Ive had 3 fills

I've had 3 fills but only a combined total of 4cc. I have restriction with some foods but not all. I've only lost 12 pounds since my October surgery. how many cc's does it usually take?
  8. PJ- if you don't mind me asking- what was your starting BMI? Mine was 38. I also only did the pre op diet for only two days. It is amazing how little I can eat now though- before I was an endless bowl. I know I will start losing weight but slowly.

    Just Had Surgery...

I can't stand protein shakes- I never drank them. Try gas-x and walking as much as possible.

  11. I guess I meant satisfied- I'm not eating dangerously. I'm not eating more than a half a cup at a time since that is all I can handle. My dietician says you will drive yourself crazy measuring and weighing. I was very unsuccessful doing any of that- that is why I got the lap band. I felt I literally had no nerves to tell me I'm full prior to the lap band. That is why this was a good solution for me.
  12. I haven't ever thrown up. I am pretty much healed. What did your dietician suggest?

    Just Had Surgery...

I only had sugar free Popsicles and water. You barely need anything the first week and you won't be hungry for a long time- that's all normal. I just had surgery on Oct 29th
  14. So I'm 3 weeks post op- I pretty much eat everything just little bits and nothing I know that will be rough to eat. When I eat I start to get tightness in my chest and I feel like there is a tree trunk going down sideways- I'm assuming-that is when I have eaten too much or too fast. My dietician says not too worry about measuring my food but eating until I feel full. I definetely know that my portions have dramatically decreased, this is with no fill yet. Still only lost five pounds. I feel like my family is expecting me to lose tons of weight and fast and I feel like I need to live up to those expectations since I am self pay. Any thoughts?
