Does anyone know if the gastric sleeve is covered by medicare/medical?

Thank you'all so much! I have my consultation at the end of this month and a seminar at the beginning of November! Honestly i was all about the lap band but i have heard so much negative and i believe the sleeve is what will be best for me!!! I cant wait for the consultation!!! Thanks so much everyone!!!

Desertmom- seeing that you have had both... can you get stuck(food stuck) with the sleeve or is that just the lap band? Also does anyone know if u are able to get pregnant after having the sleeve? Hello everyone, i just want to start out by saying i have only been on here a couple of days and i love it...all the info,the people and responses are just great!!! I am 250lbs 5'4 and 26 years old i am really considering doing the lap band surgery and have my first consultation at the end of this month and my seminar at the beg. of november. I Still have alot of ?'s like what is all this talk about "stuck" food getting stuck? it scares me, how bad is this? please be honest! thanks so much!!!

Wow im sorry to hear all of that, i am considering this lap band surgery and trying to get all the research i can get. Do you think the problems you are having are from the lap band or do you think you would have gotten them either way? Please be honest!
