Hi Lindsey and welcome!

At my initial consultation, they weighed me, took my temperature and blood pressure, and went over my medical history with me. They also discussed past weight loss attempts with me and took down my primary care provider info.

My insurance was discussed and what it required for surgery. I did meet with the surgeon, too.

It was pretty quick, there wasn't much information given to me but rather they took a ton of my information. It was at the seminar I learned a lot.

Best wishes!

Thank you, any information helps!!! I was just curious as to what the process is at the first consultation because they said the apt. Is about 4 and 1/2 hours.

I met my doc and we had a really long discussion on history goals wants needs Q&A I spoke with the office manager about approvals and tests I would need I got a lot of info and the seminar I got more. Best wishes :)

Thank you! If you dont mind me asking what testing did you have to do to prepare for the surgery?

I had to have my primary dr clear me for surgery, have a cardio work up, blood work and a psychological exam.

At my first consult my dr spent a long time discussing what to expect, his list of do' s and dont's after the band and generally getting to know me.
