    March 18th

I'm doing good. Started eating real food this week and so far so good. I'm down 22 pounds since before preop diet 12 since surgery. I'm having a little trouble getting my protein in but I'm working on it. I joined gym last week but at work I had some really sharp pains around where port is so I figured I would take it easy and start really slow. I'm looking forward to exercising. I know it's working because I took my wedding ring off and cleaned it today, first time I could take it off in years!!
  2. Congrats on the surgery date. I had mine done on the 18th and feeling pretty good. So excited to be onto the recovery phase. Good luck to you!

I'm March 18th also. I'm getting excited!! Good luck to you.
  7. I am so bummed. I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery a couple days ago so now they moved my surgery to may because my doc is out of town in April.
  8. I was supposed to have mine done march 18 th but I just had emergency gallbladder surgery so they put off my lap band till May. I'm so disappointed.
  9. Approval went through and I finally have a date. It's going to be a little complicated because my hubsband will be away and I have to travel by myself to have my surgery. Thanks goodness I have good friends to help with kids and it may be more relaxing recovering in a hotel for a couple days. The only downside is that I have to tell more people than I origionally wanted to. I'm so excited to have this done. I start pre-op diet monday!!
  10. So excited, my surgery is March 18th!!!
  11. YAY! I got approved already! I knew I met the requirements I was just nervous about the 6 month diet documentation. Excited for surgeons office to call and set up a surgery date. Thank you to everybody on here, I haven't posted much but when my six months seemed to be dragging I would get on here and read about all the successful people and I knew it was worth the wait. And now I can say that six months did go fast.
  12. I finished my 6 month pre-op diet and all my pre-op stuff and my paperwork was submitted to Triwest today so now I'm just waiting and hoping. I know the chances of it going through the first time is doubtful but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it gets approves. Wish me luck!

    Tricare Prime

I'm nervous about the change in insurance too. I'm hoping to be done with my preop stuff and aproved before they change but I'm going to be cutting it really close.

    Triwest Prime

I have triwest. Tricare prime remote and I'm 3 months into my 6 month weigh ins. I got excited about hearing people getting approved so quickly but I wasn't so lucky. Good luck!!

    Tricare Prime

Unfortunately tri west requires 6 months of weigh ins with your Pcp. From what I'm understanding on these forums triwest is the only tricare that requires this. Ive tried calling several times and even asked my surgeons office if they knew any way around this and they said no triwest was pretty strict. I was so bummed when I found this out because I was ready to get it done asap and I thought my 6+months of weight watchers would work. On the bright side I'm three months into it and most of my other preop stuff is done. I'm just taking this time to get myself prepared but I'm very anxious to get it done. If you do hear a way around the 6 month wait please share. I have tricare prime remote. Good luck!!
