  1. I would tell you to call the dr office for advice before changing anything in your diet. However the what-did-I-do phenomena is pretty common. Mine came on day one. What you are experiencing is pretty normal. Once you start seeing results you will be so thrilled. Relax, breath, trust the process! Big hugs!
  2. My dr and I had this very discussion yesterday. He said that when he places the band there is a lot of fat around the stomach. He does not remove that fat before placing the band. So when you lose weight sometimes you will lose a bit of the fat that was between the band and the stomach causing your perfect fill to no longer be perfect. Seems like you need an adjustment. Congrats!
  3. Mis, you said it all but lets define "slip" and what it means to pop those stitches. It means internal bleeding that could cause you to bleed to death!
  4. Yes!
  5. Just kidding .... To kick in. So happy day and miserable day all wrapped in one!
  6. Zzzzzzzz
  7. So Sunday morning my cheek bone below my eye started to hurt, like I had been punched in the face. It progressively got worse until I was in a lot of discomfort by nighttime. Monday I go to work in such pain like I've never felt. Whole side of head is just a killer!! I get in to see a dentist and they say that I don't have any cavities, put me on antibiotics and Vicodin and refer me to an oral surgeon who is better equips to find the cause. From that appointment I go for my monthly LB check in. I opted not to have a fill. I lost 6 lbs this month AND my BMI is at 31!!! From there I ran to costco to fill my prescription. My liquid children's Advil had kicked in a little. An off duty C H P i the next checkout was making googlie eyes at me... heehee ( wow it took me some time to figure it out. It's been a while) Got home around 6:30. Took meds and my liquid hydrocodone. Fell asleep of course and just woke up in so much pain again! Took more meds and I'm just waiting for them to...
  8. I thought the psych evaluation was to evaluate wether the person understands what they are about to do, severity of it, what it takes to succeed and that they are sound mentally. I don't doubt that you are in a bad place; not taking care if yourself. We were all there. I don't think that you will be harmed by following orders. Like Mis said it will make you a better bandster but I would get a second opinion. Just remember that if you do get a second opinion and they pass you you HAVE to follow through, you CAN'T give up, you MUST stick to the program for success. Hugs to you!
  9. It's the want power! You have got to want it. In the meantime it's no shock to anyone that you can't control the food intake. That's why you are here. The one thing you can control is the thought process. Before banding we eat, feel guilty and eat some more. Now you have to worry about nutrition first and don't beat yourself up. You need help. That's why you had surgery. Trust your team will help you. trust that you are strong enough. trust the process.
  10. I love their sweet tea too! The closest I found was sweet tea from MIO (the liquid water enhancers). Crystal light sells a liquid sweet tea also but for me it's not as close to the McDonald's one. Both alternatives have zero calories! Drink up!
  11. Think Thin protein bars are really good- very low in sugar and high in protein. I get them from Safeway. It's super important to watch the sugar content of the store bought ones. I think the Gnc ones have low sugar too.
  12. That made me cry. The pain of watching life pass you by is a pain I know all too well. It robs us and our loved ones. The memories you are giving your children now is priceless. I'm super proud of you! The heat is something we can't imagine either. It usually cools down really nice in the evenings here. But this is crazy. Today We took a nap to beat the heat and woke just now to 87 in the house! Now ac is on. At least I saved electricity until 4pm. My oldest boy went running at the lake with some friends at 2pm and now they are swimming. Crazy young people!

  14. Happy Sunday!! It's was a 106 yesterday. Today same. We gave weather advisories now due to the heat. At 10pm last night poor Nicole in Modesto was still at 97! Oh boy oh boy!
  15. I was dropped off by a friend and then they were called to pick me back up. All went seamlessly! Another friend then came by and took me to the pharmacy to get my meds. ( because I wanted to move around) I can't imagine it being different for you ( unless you don't want to go it alone)
