  1. Lloyd's pulled pork in individual serving sizes. Quick and easy. I also make a package of ground turkey in to burgers that last a few days. I make a lettuce wrapped turkey burger with lite mayo and any other trimming. When I get to work I nook the burger for a few seconds and then enjoy!
  2. Big hugs to you Diane. There's nothing I can say to make it better so I will just sit with you and hold your cyber hand.
  3. Great job!! You look amazing!
  4. My weekend was nice. I aced my last classes. I'm on my last 3 with 6 1/2 weeks to go. I'm super frustrated with my group classes. So much so that I woke up at 3:30 stressing about it. The leader last week was a complete moron and now we are all behind a week. The assignment is huge! Oh and here's a good one: I'm so unmotivated to get my butt to the gym in the morning! I haven't gone in two weeks. Ugh! Well I'm up and going to get ready for work. Have a great day everyone!
  5. My surgeon explained it to me saying that the more obese we are the more our stomach has no place to go so it pushes up through the diaphragm. This is what gets repaired as a hiatal hernia. He said when he does lb surgery he is surprised if he doesn't have to fix one.
  6. Pushing solid food through a new band can cause the band the be ripped off the stomach where it is sewn on causing internal bleeding and potentially death.
  7. The heating pad will help get the gas moving. It's the gas they use to inflate you while operating. It is by far the worst part of the process. Gasx works for the intestinal gas as well. Careful with vomiting. It can rip the stitches and cause internal bleeding. As a rule of thumb you should never vomit!
  8. You may have pulled a muscle. Does liquid Advil help? If it does that is prob what it is.
  9. Couldn't you water down Greek yogurt ( FAGE has 23 gr protein) I added sf syrup to mine. It beats having no protein at all.
  10. Hello all! Diane, glad ur bro is doing good! Carole, sorry to hear about prob with band. Thanks for the encouragement with Tyler too. He is having a hard time with it and is playing it off like its no big deal. His feelings seeps out of the edges though and he is being a real jerk to me. He is off at his sisters house for two days. I needed a break. I'm not asking him to confront at all times but good grief burying it isn't healthy either. And I refuse to be his outlet. We are super close so I can tell he is really hurting and I can't do much for him but be understanding. I can't believe I haven't been in here for two days. Yesterday I bought new cushions for my yard furniture. We are spray painting a cooking table that goes along the BBQ grill. Just getting back yard presentable and enjoyable for entertaining. I also am hanging curtains on my gazebo made out of painters drop cloths. I'll take pics when they are done. I still have to hang my twinkle lights. Weather is so nice here now. Hubby and I are sitting outside now enjoying the yard. Dawn, c-mom, Terri, Dee, anyone else? Have a great weekend! I text Nicole but didn't get an answer
  11. Hello! Love the quilt. They are sick labors of love. I hate Migraines. I've only had a few in my life but I'm down for the count when I do. Tyler must has been trying to hide his tics really hard because now that it's out I the open he is all over the place. He's taking it really well. I'm doing good. Yesterday I allowed myself a cheat day. So much chocolate was involved. Today I'm back on track. I only have 2lbs before I'm under 200 lbs. I'm trying not to stress about it but good grief!
  12. Hello all! Been busy today with dr appt. was nice reading about all of your updates. My son has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome w/o vocal tics. He has always had it I guess but it peaks in severity in the late teens. That is why he has never been able to play video games or go into Walmart/Target without having to wear dark glasses (he'd get all crazy) It can be treated with meds. Tyler doesn't want meds though. We are all relieved because we thought it was something very severe. At least he isn't going to die.
  13. Hello all. Band just synched up on me nice and right! My piano player son has been having some uncontrollable twitches for the past few months that I just noticed yesterday. It is like Tourette's syndrome. Something is just not right. I am taking him to kaiser on Monday morning and I'm pretty freaked out! And the boy NEVER tells me anything. He said its been going on for months; at least from when he got back from Italy in October but is gradually getting more frequent. I looked up the article about those girls at the school in NY and one of the interesting points was that a Dr in NJ was treating a few of the girls with antibiotics for the streptococcal infection. My MIL died from the toxic version of this! ( elderly and infants only susceptible) Not jumping the gun, but freaking out just the same!
  14. Oh no!!!!! I'm so sorry!
  15. The heat wave finally is over! We had a lovely 90 degrees today with a delta breeze. Lows in the mid 60s tonight. Our whole house fan is going. It feels great!
  16. Going back to school you really see how the brain is a muscle that if you don't use becomes flabby! Stick with your studies. It will get easier the more you do. The first few classes I took I felt like I was reading ewok! You can do it!!
