  2. Today I paid $4.25! I'm thrilled. It was $4.95 a few days back.
  3. Hey so when they wheeled me into the operating room I said to the team " this doesn't look like Greys Anatomy in here! Why are the lights so bright?" Then we joked around about that and something about dreaming of cabana boys and then I was out! Point is, wow was it bright in there!
  4. Dear, I think someone just got handed their ***!
  5. Marketdude, You asked the q we replied! I think that you already beat a lot of odds by doing something a lot of us wouldn't have the guts to do, get banded in a foreign country. ANY foreign country. You also mat make it to the green zone faster. So Celebrate that! I didn't read about anyone promoting another surgeon. Did I miss something? I have read a lot of post about your dr and dr Ortiz and have heard nothing but good things. I'm sure you could hear the same about any of our surgeons, they are just not that widely defended because they not need to be, they are in our own country. I think the analogy about older versions of the iPod or iPhone is a good one. Facts are facts, older versions are there for a reason, they've been upgraded, making changes due to feedback from users. I wish you a long successful journey with no problems with your band. After all I still have an iPhone 3G and have never had any problems with it!

I am 16 days post op today. I have a non-scale victory to report. About eight months ago I took off the diamond ring my husband bought me for anniversary last year because it was cutting off my circulation. Once I took it off I couldn't get it back on. I was able to slip it on last night and there it stays! I have totally embrace this journey from day one of my preop diet and I don't hope that I will be successful I know that I will be successful. I'm down 22.6 pounds.
  12. Congrats! Keep us posted!
  13. Hello! I was supposed to start soft foods yesterday. I just couldn't do it! I just got the mushy phase down and I'm afraid to move forward. Looking at the sample food plan I was given I feel like it will look smaller than the 1/2-3/4 c mushiness that I am currently eating ( with much gusto might I add). I am already hungry a lot but what I sit and eat now is satisfying. What if I eat and am still hungry or what if I taste it and go wild. I need someone to walk me through this because I know it's not rational. It's like walking over a rickety bridge. Than you!
  14. You will be amazed at how well you do... After the 72 hours! I looked at the person who gave me the preop diet and I said " you're joking right? Shocker ... We all made it through. Your mindset needs a little adjustment though, think of it as it truly is, a tool for a successful surgery, not about losing weight. This phase can mean the difference between having 3 little holes in your belly and a relatively easy recovery OR being cut open.
  15. Girl you lie! You know your conceited! Jk! Isn't it wonderful to be adored. My hubby of 20 yrs is still like that. As for annoying habits well... Where do I begin. I'm missing those habits right now though because he got a call from his family in Italy the day before my surgery that his mom was in a coma from a virus and that evening he was on a plane. I've been going it alone and I could use his cheers right about now. Oh yeah did I mention that he cheers me on with a thick Italian accent.. Oh yes, it doesn't get better than that!!
