    Stomach Flu

FYI, although we call it a stomach flu, the viruses that cause stomach symptoms are not actually influenza, or flu. Since there really isn't a "stomach flu," a flu shot will NOT protect you from there issues.

    Gluten Free?

Chebe mixes are very versatile. Once I made the regular mix into about six breadsticks (Olive Garden style), brushed them with olive oil and dusted them with garlic powder. My non-GF brother came along and ate TWO of them before I caught him. He had no idea they were GF and loved them. I loved them too. I made the cinnamon mix, rolled it out thing and cut it into 1 inch by 2 inch strips which I sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. I gave each one a twist and had cinnamon twist crisps.

    Progressing Post Op Diet Early

My post-op diet was liquids for the first week, right back on solids the next week, so it may not be a physical danger for you, but your doctor surely had a reason for the diet you were given. What's done is done, but definitely talk it out with your doctor. You'll have to take the responsibility for the decision you made, explain why and talk it out with him or her. Don't start out making this a prisoner/warden relationship with your doctor, s/he is there to help you, not belittle you, and perhaps if you are feeling up to solids you may even be able to be cleared for them. Be safe, and make the best choices you can for yourself, that's all we can do.

    Coffee!!!

I don't know if you guys have an Aldi near you, but I get a great sugar free french vanilla creamer there. It has only 15 calories per tablespoon and a great flavor. I use it in tea, but I'm sure you'd love it in coffee.
