  3. First off u need to be drinking 4 bottles of water a day. If your dehydrated u will have lots of problems from dizzy to confusion. Second, pain is normal, hungry is normal. But your swollen so drink some broth.. And water.. It will get better
  4. I think your doing great. I don't think we are supposed to cut good food out for life. The band offers us help with portion control. I wouldn't worry about having a taste. Sounds like your making the necessary changes that your supposed to.
  5. I thought the band is fir restriction. If we blend are we not bypassing?
  6. Im asking if blending is cheating for us all. Not what stage i am in.
  7. I could sleep on my side 2 days post op. Im 2 wks post op and on my tummy. I too worked out hard pre op and am up to power walking 3 miles a morning 2 wks out now.
  8. This is not what i meant. I was asking if blending is cheating our band period, not what stage Im in.
  9. Yes i had shortness of breath for 11 days. My hernia was very large in the top.. I panicked about the breathing... Try to relax. I seen doc yesterday, he said it takes 4 wks to get over surgery. I had no sholder or neck pain til day 8!! No gas at all..then here it comes. It takes a while for the gas to bleed over into your intestines... So when we think we r better..there is still some poking around. To help my breathing i went on slow walks. Best of luck
  10. I had tomatoe blended..avocado blended.. And Brussels sprouts blended.. But i kinda feel like blending is defeating the purpose... Is it? You can blend all the foods the band won't let us have... We should be cautious
  11. Good job. I started at 227.. 2 wks post op. Im down to 205. No liquid diet pre op but lost 9 lbs working out. I hope Im at 170 in 4 months like you!
  12. Ty...all well said and good points.. Im not just scared of the weight gain but of puking Hahaha! I too abused portions size.. I know the band will stop that.
  13. Ty...all well said and good points.. Im not just scared of the weight gain but of puking Hahaha! I too abused portions size.. I know the band will stop that.
  14. Liquid tylenol , broth, nausea med from doc. I would buy egg beaters , and cream soups. I didn't need gas x.
  15. I was banded 13 days ago. My worse days 3-5. After that it was an incredible difference. For anyone getting banded, before u leave the hospital have them put a nausea patch behind your ear. It will help the first few days.
  16. I seen my doc today.. Banded on 9/20. He put me on soft foods.. Oatmeal etc.. Im scared i will gain some of the 19 lbs back... So soup and protein shakes will continue.. Im not sick of anything but being fat!
  17. When Im so hungry i can't stand it.. Take a drink of pickle juice, olive juice, A1 steak sauce, or even ranch dressing! It helps me
