  3. My doc still has me on a shake a day as a meal replacement. Do what feels best
  4. I only have 1 shake and 1 cup of food a day. I have coffee too but sounds like u r trying to take in way too much for a new band. This is the time to heal and drop lbs at the same time. And by 3 wks i was walking 3 miles a day. I was weak and dizzy at first but pushed through it.
  5. Dr Barnes 3182221942. He put my band in but he Will do anything u need
  6. Not him. It was a family practice doc that was rude. My lapband doc here in shreveport was awesome

I have had a few things stuck and its very painful for about 10 hrs. I would suggest take a jog and / or drink something hot.. no solids or mushy tho! moving around helped me.. and once I had the problem i didnt do it again! lol
  8. So im waiting in the doc office for my first fill. Im down from 227 to 200 in 4 wks. Kinda nervous about this needle im sitting by!
  9. Make sure your not drinking at least 45 min after eating. And if i sit down in front of the tv my tummy starts to feel so full it hurts. If i move around i don't even feel full. So i wait for that painfully signal before i move on. Once i have that signal i can't eat for about 5 hrs
  10. I feel the need to have a bite of something between meals. I eat a olive or bite of avacodo.
  11. What doc in texarkana? I had one that was a jerk there too
  12. Hope u get well soon! You have such a sweet spirit!
  13. I was banded 9/20. Lost 8lbs pre op. 19 post op... Been stuck for a week. I walk 3 miles a day.. Frustrated!
  14. I was banded Sept 20. I am down from 227 to 201. I power walk 3 miles every morning. I eat 1cup per meal of whatever soft food i want. If u up your workout u can use portion control but not count cals
  15. Good luck joy! I agree that this forum helps. I have learned so much. My doc is a surgeon, never said much about what to eat, when to eat or even how much. I have learned every thing here
  16. Isn't it strange how we all mentally experienced the same feelings? I cried on day 3-4. Maybe its the mental addition to food we had to get over. I even told my hubby i felt fobic inside
  17. I was exactly the same.. At day 9 it was a huge turn around for me. Now at day 21 Im healed, jogging, and very proud of my 24 lb weight loss
  18. After surgery u will not crave coke, at least i didn't. I just had after wks and its not the same.
  19. I don't understand. Lap band fixes acid refux per my doc and did fix mine Like he said. But bypass isn't bad. My husband is having bypass Nov 7. He chose it over lap band because there is no maintenance .
  20. During healing your supposed to concentrate on liquids not getting calories. It will be wks later that you count calories and by then you wish you were losing weight like u did in the beginning
  21. Better than normal. I could only have clear liquids for 12 days. You will not get many calories in the early post op stage
