  1. You are in my prayers! this is the best thing you can do for yourself. You hubby is being insecure.. just re-assure him.. men ><. that this is for your health and not to go out there trying to find someone new. Good Luck!
  2. Thanks Girl! I'll be sure to check labels!
  3. Atxy, they wanted me to get the sleeve/bypass as well, but I just couldn't get something that was to me to drastic. My dr told me the choice was more but I would lose more with the other options. I have found so many people on here who are as heavy or heavier than I and have lost all their weight or most. Well over 100lbs. It depends on how committed a person is. I have always been a back slider, and I am sure I will with this but to me, and this.. failure is NOT an option. I wish you luck with yours and I am sure you will continue to do well and do what you have to do to stay healthy!! much loves.
  4. feel the same way... and I am much the same as sandi. 2nd day was the worse, not unbearable just worse.. I hated the bloatedness. and it's been hard to get in my water. Working on it today though and some protein.. oi! been slackin! It has gotten a LOT better and this is my 4th day. I felt so much better yesterday. Around my incision is where I get a lot of tenderness where I have to hold it for a moment to continue doing what I was doing. I called the dr and he said it was normal, we just had surgery and rest up! I walk constantly around my apt.. from my bedroom to my living room and kitchen round and round.
  5. Good luck hun!! it's so exciting!! I was daydreaming all day! lol
  6. I was feeling the same way.. And delighted that it was not half as bad as I expected!! You'll do great!! walk walk walk.. rest rest resst! lol. Good luck hun!
  7. GL!! best friend indeed!
  8. Patrick!! It's time!! I wish you the best of luck! You will do amazingly See ya on the other side! we will be here waiting for an update from you!! Taking deep breaths helps a lot! You've Got this Sir!! Thanks journeygirl!
  9. I agree 100%.. I rather see me lookin slimmer then the actual scale saying what weight I am. Just like she said about the plateaus yet you still lose inches. That is important. I have always been solid as well, as big as I am I don't have flabby lege /arms etc.. although once I start losing weight I am sure they will become that way! Imo I like to see both results but in the end.. measurements will win me over.
  10. Congrats!! It definitely is a new beginning! This site is the best thing I have come across.. utilize it.. rejoice in it! lol Most everyone here is wonderful.. you will always have your negativities but remember, each person is different and many who are not successful did not follow what she should. So just keep on encouraging it! Welcome!! and **hugs**!
  11. Thanks gals! Makes me feel better! <3
  12. haha that is AWESOME! Raaawr! mama! I still have stuff I've hung on to.. can't wait for that moment!!
  13. Excited for you Patrick! I am on my 3rd day post op.. and I was expecting the worse, and was so surprised about how easy it was. I also had a hiatal hernia repair along with it. I told my surgeon before I went under, please do a good job! Surgeons really make a difference. Buy gasx, it helps. I started walkin inside my apt the day of surgery here and there, but take it very easy.. and rest rest. I will say a prayer for you and your speedy recovery! Keep up posted hun!
  14. Said my prayer for the two of you and more! everything will be cake! Good Luck and welcome to the other side! muahaha!
  15. So happy for you girl!! You are doing amazing! can't wait till I am at that point!!
  16. Hey all.. this is my 3rd day post op.. I am feeling alright, only thing is, around my port is very sensitive. Like, almost sharp pain sorta when i touch ( around ) it. Only during certain times also, like right now it feels fine, I just woke up and as I got up it hurt to sit up and when I touched around it , it was very sensitive and a sharp soreness, tender. Is this normal or should I call my surgeon? I also have these hiccup type things inside my chest to tummy, the best way for me to describe it, has anyone had this? it hurts when it happens , last as long as a hiccup. Anyway, thanks again! would appreciate any feedback!
  17. congrats!!! thats always exciting!! welcome to the band world!
  18. I feel a bit more pain today... started to let out some gas finally.. I haven't burped at all and the chest area is what hurts the most for me.. but it wont come out. I have gasx extra strength.. but I haven't taken it yet, wanted to know if it was ok to take extra strength.. they didnt have regular.
  19. Ya. that is what the counter person told me at GNC. I bought isopure pinapple/banana/orange all in one mix for my clear liquid stage and I like it. it's 50grams of protein and serving size is 2 scoops. I use 1 scoop at a time for a 25g protein. I do want to try bariatric advantage
  20. Thanks sky.. that was very insightful and I will prefer back to this many times I am sure!
  21. I agree with everything they had to say.. I just got mine done yesterday but before it, I flipped up and down with, is this the right thing to do? Hell ya it is! and your husband probably said that thinking, once you lose weight, you might not want him anymore, or something better. But that won't be the case.. you will show him even more how much you love and want him!! Good Luck to you! all the people here are such inspirations, you were wise to come here and seek advise before cancelling out! Love Kay
  22. lol thanks!! and omg the breathing does help tremendously!!!
  23. Thanks Fallon! I didn't get a breathing thing.. but the deep breaths I'll do that! didn't you get a hiatal hernia repair also? Didn't even know I had one but it makes sense because i'd have heartburn all the time and chest pains and was like ...geez what the hell is this!
  24. Ok all.. I think I am doing pretty well, pain wise etc.. but It is very hard for me to get water down, i get bloated so fast and today I should start my shakes back up and I dont know how I am going to be able to do that and drink water. I have some pretty bad pain in my chest area when I breathe occasionally. Today started to let some gas out.. yay!! but that pain in my chest area is pretty bothersome.. any of you get this? think i will buy some gasx today.
  25. I wouldn't worry to much about that.. but what are you eating and how much? also.. exercise will help with that greatly!
