  1. How are you going to get fills and follow up with your doctor? You should be going back at least monthly. Does your doc require any follow up?
  2. For me it feels as though there is something stuck between your throat and chest your body wants to help so your spit (slime) production kicks up 1000%. When I get this I know I have a few minutes before it comes up. Vomit (slime) the body's way of clearing the blockage. It's not fun be very careful with your eating.
  3. I suggest a consultation with a doc. Tou have some good info here but my doc made us do a class and he gave it to us straight pros and cons. He covered every weight loss surgery option and your more informed. Our experiences will be different but you need the best doc, hospital and support system you can find. No pressure just start poking around. Don't forget the hospital web sites. Most go into great detail have support groups some have cooking classes etc. find the best so you can do your best! Best wishes PS don't be hard on the hubby, I'm sure he had to build the nerve up to even say it
  4. I have not, but what does the doc recommend?
  5. I was in pain after so I took time to heal. I can't remember how long it took but I say take the time to heal and when you feel up to it, go for it!
  6. Good Luck! Tell us all about it when u feel up to it!
  7. Maybe one of the other policies cover it. Do some research and check them all. Don't get discouraged. Where there is a will there is a way! Good luck

  9. It's frustrating. I have 5cc's too and no restriction. Hang in there I'm sure we just need more adjustments.
  10. I started my pre op prior to the required time so I could have more time to adjust it made it easier for me. Hang in there, there is a bigger picture here, keep your eye on the prize! Good luck
  11. Good luck! I love the idea of earning miles for this that's soooo awesome!
  12. You should make a list of your questions and sit down with your doctors and get your questions answered. That's what they are there for. Make sure before they roll you in for surgery you really have "no more questions". Pre op I went to my doc with a legal pad of questions and he sat with me and answered them all. Good luck!
  13. I had a male co-worker say, after walking behind me in the office "is it me or is your butt getting smaller" lol. Not sure if that was a compliment or sexual harassment. Lol . Keep up the good work!
  14. You should be fine. I still take communion but bread is a " no way" although I was able to eat that thin sliced bread. I don't go there much. Good luck
  15. I get shoulder pain when I have had enough. After surgery I had the worse pain there and it took forever to go away. Now when eating and I hit my limit I feel that pain. My doc said its a nerve that is affected during the surgery that causes it. Good luck!
  16. After surgery I could not drink large volumes of water at all. Maybe due to swelling. I'm back to normal now but that was a struggle for me too!
  17. Good luck!!! Let us know how it went
  18. Hang in there your sooo close! Good luck
  19. Stay hydrated, keep walking and rest your healing. Good luck
  20. I too would say check with the doc, better safe than sorry
  21. Hope everything goes well for you! Good luck
  22. The shoulder will eventually get better but it will be a while. Hang in there! My doc says there is a nerve that is affected in the surgery that causes the pain. Now one year out I will get the pain for a minute or two if I eat to much.
