    Today Is My Day!!!

all the very best of luck for a speedy recovery x
  3. Me also, I get really excited, butterflies the lot when I think it will only be a few weeks away...then a twang of fear creeps in! I suppose I am more worried about waking up in pain afterwards, also the fact I have told no-one so worried about coping alone, i really dont want to make silly mistakes!!! :-)

    I Have A Date!!!

Hiya, my surgery is on October 22nd, had my consultation with the surgeon last Tuesday and all set, just waiting on the Pre-op tests now and starting the liver shrinking diet in 2 weeks. Soooo excited, I can't wait! All the best of luck to you! :-)
  6. I am in a similar situation, I only have around 50 -60 lbs to lose. My problem being I can't keep the weight off, I've managed to lose 50lb before, and regained every lb, I need the extra little help to be able to maintain my health. I am paying for the op (to be carried out in October), and looked at all the pro's and cons, researched every detail and think this decision is worth every penny (dime) :-) after all I have paid out tonnes of money on every diet, pill, potion in the past. I am in no rush to lose the weight and my surgeon advised it will be hard and on average the weight loss for my stats are around 50lb in 12-18 months, which I am contented with. I have high blood pressure, arthritic knees, PCOS and Pre-diabetic, I see this as my final fling with tackling the fat, and am very optimistic that my health will improve. Wishing you good luck and success, fingers crossed all goes well, I agree totally with you GO FOR IT! X

    October Bandsters?

Oct 22 for me, having to pay for it myself as can't get funding! Can't wait, be the best present my hubby ever gave me :-)
  9. My Pre op diet is all food & no shakes, 2 carb choices per day only: like 2 baby potatoes and 3 tablespoons of cereal, 3 fruit & veg a day like 1 large banana and one small bowl of salad and 1 of veg, 2-3 choices of protein per day like 2-3 oz meat or 2 eggs or 5 oz tuna plus one diet yogurt. All seems so simple! I have my op on Oct 22 and I already feeling ok on this diet. Post op also starts straight on sloppy foods, but I'll have to wait and see if those suit me! Good luck everyone ???ƒ
