myself,i Celebrate looking in the mirror and say to myself, you go girl.

I told myself that at every 50lbs lost I'm getting a tattoo. 12lbs left to go, already have it designed, just need to come up with the money and someplace to get it done. My husband said he'll buy the next one. I can hardly wait.

We're going to turn things around....
Just need a little time, patience and support from our members.
We've made many many many changes since we launched BariatricPal and we don't plan on stopping until everyone feels comfortable again.
Please keep the feedback coming! Throwing out statements like "I hate the new site" aren't very helpful. We want to hear what exactly you don't like about the new site. The more details you can provide, the better! We can and will make changes based on member feedback.
Also, it would be VERY helpful if we had some Veteran members responding to posts that are being left unanswered. It's a snowball effect....

I've lost 30 pounds, work out 4-5x a week, and feel fantastic!! But one seriously unexpected side effect of this surgery is my.....ahem....drive. I went from "sorry, my head hurts," or "I'm so tired", or "this book is just too good to put down", to "GET OVER HERE AND TAKE ME NOW!".
I don't know if it's surgery, my age, or what, but this girl ain't complaining!

My stance on the haters is this... it's my body, not yours. I'm doing what I feel is necessary to get to a healthy weight to live MY life healthily. I often think of these opinionated people and wonder if they have health conditions ie: diabetes, high cholesterol, or any condition that they take meds for. How would they like someone telling them not to take their meds? Just avoid the fat and cholesterol based foods, and exercise more, etc... They would look at you like you're crazy. They need those meds for their health. Well, this is the same situation, they choose to take medications for their health, and we choose to use a medical device for our health problem. See Blue you can resist it.. out of sight out of mind.. Sugar is very addictive.. I know I occassionally eat something sweet and it makes me feel terrible.. my face gets flushed and I suddenly get almost lethargic.. then you are hungry after eating crap too so it's a bad feeling.. but you've now lost 3 lbs which is wonderful and you can get back in charge of your health again... Take care and don't beat yourself up we all have those days..

Thanks for your support!! My husband is extremely supportive and that's been a huge help. While I was out one big the hid all of the Halloween candy and put a bag of almonds in its place. He and my kids are eating it and it's so helpful that it isn't sitting on the counter just staring at me!! Between your kind words and him hiding the sweets, I've lost 3 pounds! It's so nice to have so many supportive people in my life, even if it is a virtual relationship!

Hello everyone I am from the sleeve forum and since they combined everything I figured a topic I started over there would also help out here. I am making a list of companies that will send out free samples to anyone that requests them.
