you are not alone!!!! I had a horrible couple weeks! the deliciousness staring me in the face was to tough to resist. but i was like you....kept at the exercise and havent gained. but haven't lost, either!! time for both of us to get back on the horse....we can do it!! happy new year!

This holiday and during all my stress the band is my LIFE SAVER!!! (No not the fruity sugary ones that decorate the cakes this time of year!)
I have to tell you though that the band does not go around my head, or my heart and when stress levels rise it's easy to fall into those bad habits if you allow yourself to.
Sometimes we do fall because we are human, but the band can be our life raft, our foot hold to get ourselves out of there and remember that this is where we came from not where we want to be.
Having had the surgery being able to see my scars in the mirror (and I am grateful for the scars! I have had other surgeries that left invisible in my belly button scars and they do not teach the lesson as well let me tell you!) feeling that port and knowing that the band is there for me gives me the tremendous courage that it takes to get through all the things that have tried to break me and drag me backwards.
So yes while we all have stress some extreme and life altering stress that has to be dealt with. When it comes to food, we have a life saver built in and when it seems that all is sugar plum fairies and candyland, we can find a way through it to onederland!

So I was out shopping with my husband and he pulled me into New York and Company. This used to be my favorite store until I couldnt fit into their clothes anymore. The largest size they have in the store (in jeans) is an 18. I started at a size 20 in plus size jeans. He took the 18, and sent me into the dressing room. I gave myself a pep-talk....this isn't a plus size store. The 18s might be tight but that's ok. If you went into Lane Bryant they would probably be a little loose. You'll get there. So I pulled them up, suprisingly easily, and smiled when I realized they were too big. I asked him to get me a 16. He came back. They fit pretty good. He said, "just for the hell of it, let's try a 14....if you keep losing weight they will fit in no time". So I did. AND THEY FIT!!!!! I lost it. Cried like a baby right in the dressing room. I still can't believe it. I am wearing a size 14 jean from a regular, non-plus-sized store and I can breathe at the same time! I'm really doing this. I can do this! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
