  1. I would think the Insurance Coordinator from your Surgeons office would know the requirements of your particular insurance co before they submit for approval. So you may not have to do anything different then you have already done. You might have just had to prove medical necessity which your paperwork from your doctors would have shown. I sure can't say for sure every insurance company and Dr.s office is different. I hope you here soon that you are approved with no further hoops to jump through.
  2. no I am not experienced in this, but so sorry you are having this difficulty. Glad you are getting it treated. I do know that it could be dangerous untreated. So you are doing the right thing, Praying you feel better soon, And that all goes well with your surgery. Hugs

  4. Sending you positive thoughts. Pamper yourself a bit today. Your body has been through a lot. I think it is only natural that you should feel a bit fragile. Hormones can do crazy things too. Just be kind to yourself. And pat yourself on the back for a job very well done. Just gonna take some getting used to living in this new body of yours. Hugs

  7. I am so glad you ask this. I was wondering too what kind and when people take their vitamins. I have read that certain vitamins need to be taken together and some apart. I would love some feed back on how different ones daily schedule of viatmins, meals, fluids etc go. It all seems so overwhelming of when to do what. I know the docs will tell you but how does it work in the real world (lol) what have you found that helps you keep on track?
  8. How are you feeling, that is the important question.. Are you gettng your liquids in? Are you walking? Are you resting? I hope you feel great and recovering nicely, But saying goodbye to some ponds is good too,
  9. thank you., glad to be a part of this wonderful group.
  10. The Vitamin Shoppe has a few samples of the nectar. They aren't really samples, more like individual serving packets. I order mine From www.BJsBariatrics.com and he has several of the individual serving packets for sale.
  11. praying for you and wishing you the very best recovering. Smiling for you because I know you are so happy and excited. I know you will hurt some this evening, but it will be worth it. Let us know when you are up to it how you are doing,
  12. Please add me to the November list November 7, 2012 12:30 be at hospital 10:30 Wow hard to sink in that it is really going to happen Revision from lab band to gastric bypass.
  13. i am pre op, but after banding seven years ago, my favorites were always any of the UNJURY's and the Snthrax Fuzzy Navel Nectar. I hope I still like those after gastric bypass. If you can get sample packs of any of these that might be a great way to try some. I know UNJURY you can order sample packs and I think Viatmin Shoppe has sample packs of the differenet Nectars.
  14. I sure will, hoping the phone rings today with a surgery date.
  15. you can always bring a smile to my face I bet if you tried real hard you could do it now
  16. Hoping I get a surgery date today, got insurance approval on Friday. I have wasted a lot of years feeling bad, hoping I have a few good years left.
  17. they were a bunch of vampires lol, glad it is done for you.
  18. ok so no to the yogurt for now. how about refried beans and do you have any unflavored protein powder, if you do heat up the beans, add a bit of water to make it smoother, don't heat it too hot, add the protein powder and try eating that, unflavored protein powder can be added into so many things, i have even put it in no sugar added applesauce, even some cheesy mashed potatoes, with the added protein. i think if you could just eat the protein in stuff you would feel a lot better. UNJURY makes a real good unflavored and also Snythrax has a medical unflavored, and I put it in a lot of things. Unjury is ordered on line and I got the Snythrax on line from BJ's Baratrics. I think you can also get it a Vitamin Shoppe on line, not sure if in the store.
  19. BB you are so right, the waiting has to be the worse part, Praying for the phones to ring off the hook for all those waiting today.
  20. let us know how it goes and what all they had you do. Curious minds want to know, I am just hanging here by the phone waiting for a surgery date. and paying bills, and checking in on all of you. Hope your day goes well.
  21. Let us know how that popsicle maker works. I love gadgets. sounds like something right up my alley. You will love the blender thingy, I have a similar one. It is great. Anybody else have any new or just can't live with out things, Again I am a gadget junky so let me know,
  22. mixed blessing on the no dumping, huh? but just cause you didn't this time doesn't mean you won't, at least I think you still could. But I am pre op. And if dumping feels anything like what I felt like in the middle of the night when my normally high blood sugar woke me up out of a dead sleep to the tune of 61, I never want to dump post op. Sweating, heart racing, vision messed up, two glasses of oj and some milk later I felt like I might make it. so just tell yourself you might not have dumped then but you might next time and steer clear of that junk food. Wishing you the best.
  23. So sorry you are still feeling so yuck. Can you eat yogurt? If so try adding your protein powder to the yogurt and blend it, eating it rather than drinking the shake might sit better on your stomach, You still have to somehow get the fluids in too. Saying a prayer for you right now and hoping things improve quickly,
  24. fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you. I got that call Friday and I was so happy and relieved. Now just waiting for a call with a date, Wishing your phone to ring, Hugs
