  1. they do have fast delivery. I love UNJURY I got the cheese but I haven't tried it yet.
  2. way to go, that is just so inspiring. You wlll make it to that goal, no doubt.
  3. Jami, like everyone else has said. If you weren't nervous then something would be wrong., This is a big step. But it is a good step. Try to stay busy, all the things Losingit said are so spot on. Ask questions, Everyone here is so willing to help and support.
  4. you are a champ at this. so glad everything went so well. now don't overdo.
  5. sounds good "pouch club" i like it too
  6. glad you called, let us know when you can
  7. crossing my fingers and toes that you get approval today. I know you are about to go nuts waiting, I wish I had a magic wand to make it easier. A few days ago I was counting down the hours, then while getting ready to be rolled back to surgery on Wednesday the surgeon comes in and says my blood sugar is too high for it to be safe to operate. I was devastated. So I know if you have to be resecheduled you will feel the same. So now I am scheduled for Dec. 5 and now back to counting days instead of hours. Waiting sucks, it just does.
  8. Sounds Like A PLAN to me. SO happy for you.
  9. Saying a prayer for you right now Sarah. You will do great. Let us know how you are when you can. Gentle Hugs
  10. Doing a happy dance for you, It will be here so fast, It is normal to be scared some. But if you have questions or concerns just ask, somebody has been there, done that and can help. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
  11. Makes you wonder what they were thinking before, Idiots, Why couldn't she/he just have said. You look nice today, new top? Seriously why the word TON.
  12. you are doing so well. and getting so prepared. I am glad this place can be a safe haven for support and information. I know how much it means to me. Have a great day and carry on sir you are doing great.
  13. Welcome and good Idea about starting the shakes, I would say to try to get sample sizes, not big tubs. because if you don't like them you are stuck with and expensive tub of yuck. Everybody seems to like different ones. I would try to get sample sizes of as many as you can. If you have a VItamin Shoppe close to you they have several samples. UNJURY.com sales individual sizes to try out, Good luck and glad you joined in.
  14. doing a happy dance for you Lapband06 awesome, it won't be long now. I am so happy for you.
  15. I have mixed the cookies and cream with my cooled down coffee, and a splash of 1% milk (that is how I cool the coffee) and it tastes awesome. I don't know if you are supposed to use water or milk, but it sure makes a great cup of coffee.
  16. Welcome you will find a wealth of info and support here. Have a question or concern, just ask or even use the search function. Somebody will have an answer or help you find one. Wishing you the very best on this new beginning
  17. I had a two weeks "diet" but it wasn't bad, A shake for breakfast one for lunch and then meat and non starch veggie for dinner, and a snack of yogurt if needed. and then clear liquids day before. No bowel prep but I had been taking miralax about every other day, so I just increased it couple days before, so I was pretty empty and clean by yesterday. Of course all for naught since surg. rescheduled for Dec 5. But I am just going to keep following that pre op diet as close as I can so I don't undo the good I have done. And try to get my blood sugars under control. As far as your Doc not having one, just his preference, you have to think that if we were having an emergency surgery of some type we wouldn't be on a two week liquid diet so that could be some doc's thinking. I would never tell someone to eat more than their doc said, but you can use your own judgement about eating a little less or replacing a meal with a shake just to get you used to them or used to eating less.
  18. very good thread, lots of great info thank you
  19. I was going to say fluffy is not fluffy no more. You look awesome. Great Job. Keep it up. Great pic. love love love it.
  20. kinda kills that advertisement that THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR JELLO not in a new pouch there isn't. lol
  21. welcome welcome welcome. You will find a lot of info here as well as support, The few things I think you should have for sure (because a lot depends on what your doc wants you to have) sugar free jello, sugar free Popsicles water, crystal light, maybe low sugar gatorade or propel. and some low fat chicken and beef broth. Those are things you should be able to eat pretty soon, then the other stages come in when your doc or nut says. Wishing you the very best. I will be following you on Dec 5 if I can get my blood sugars to go down. The only problem I have had with the band is didn't lose very much weight and it didn't help the diabetes at all. I have had mine for seven years. I do feel that if nothing else the band has kept me from gaining more weight then i would have without it.
  22. I believe once you are moved to full liquids and you can add protein in you will get more energy. Just sip and rest and walk and then rest some more. Your body is trying to heal. Just don't get dehydrated. Keep sipping. I really believe when you can add protein you will feel much stronger,
