  1. You are doing great. I love the "feel skinny" I bet you do, Have you been walking yet?
  2. Thank you and sending you one right back. Take it easy when you get home. Take care of you. So glad you are doing so well. Looking forward to hearing how things go once you are home. Again Thank you for your support, You have mine totally
  3. crossing my fingers that somebody does their job and gets these records for you. OH the hoops we have to jump through, And it makes us feel so helpless and out of control. We are at the mercy of someone else through out this process, always waiting for somebody to do something. AND it seems we can't do anything to help the process along. I am really hoping for you that somebody gets on the stick and gets this done for you. Hugs
  4. yes you need to be fasting for the blood work. And also they may do a barium swallow and they want you empty for that also. I had to do the same prior to the pre op testing.
  5. and the fact that you DON"T have any co morbidties, might mean if they allow you to have the surgery you can AVOID having any in the future. Makes no sense to me that we have to get so sick to get help. It is like a dag gone ferris wheel (and not the fun kind) lose weight, you don't weight enough, gain it back and then try again and be put on another six month diet and you lose and don't weight enough. Why is common sense so lacking in these requirements. Sorry for the vent. I just really feel for you and wish there was an answer and hope there is and you can have this surgery and avoid the illnesses that comes with obesity. Hugs to you
  6. you look awesome. Great job. Wow that is all I can say is Wow
  7. that is good. that you are eating it slow. Like others have said I bet the nerves are still a bit numb. So don't be surprised if next week it is a bit harder to eat the same things you are this week. But sounds like you are doing it perfectly.
  8. You get some rest, sip walk rest, glad you Doctor is looking out for you. Hugs
  9. Losin it Thank you I am not going to derail all the work I have done. Going to continue to eat healthy and keep the pounds off I lost and somehow get these sugars down. More insulin, of course that will mean more inflamation and pain, and then weight gain. It is a vicious circle. But I truly respect my Doctor and Know that he is looking out for me.
  10. I know the first thing my sister said was "I am so sorry, but now what are you bringing to Thanksgiving" too funny. I am doing ok today.
  11. I dare not shave today for sure, I even got that massive dose of heparin I would make the shower look like a crime scene. LOL
  12. Here in the states seems like it is about 2-4 weeks, during that pre op meeting they will discuss your pre op diet which might me a two week diet
  13. I am sure praying for you,... So glad you are doing well enough to let us know how you are doing, That says a lot right there., Sip, Walk, and rest. I have sleep apnea and wear a bi pap.
  14. thank you everybody, I am doing ok. I am thinking about having a few last meals this time. I had been being so good for so long, really since May and lost 24 pounds, But I just might have to have a couple of favorites I didn't think I would get for a long long time. I won't go crazy.
  15. Ty for adding me. And try to get used to the cpap, I have been on a Bipap for more than 10 years. I don't even lay down for a nap with out it. I will work on my sugars and you work on using the Cpap Deal? Deal! my surgeon is Dr. Clark, St Francis Hospital Indianapolis, IN
  16. those are some great results. Hope you are feeling really good too.
  17. Well Friends can I join your December group. I was at the hospital today all ready to go back and have surgery and the Doc came in and said he didn't feel comfortable doing the surgery today because my blood sugars have been high. I nearly begged him to do it anyway. But he just said he wouldn't feel right. So he has rescheduled it for Dec. 5. Meanwhile I need to get these sugars down. Wish me luck.
  18. I pray you feel better. Glad you are out of surgery. Sip walk and rest. you know the drill. It wasn't meant to be for me today. But I am still here for you even if we aren't surgery twins. Hugs to you
  19. I am so glad you are doing so well. Sending you positive thoughts for a continued healing.
  20. congrats Jenn and I guess I will have to move to the dec group, I am back home. The surgeon didn't feel comfortable doing the surgery today because my blood sugar was high. I know he is being cautious and a good doctor but I sure am disappointed. It is rescheduled for Dec.5 and I am supposed to somehow get my blood sugars down. So another round of reg diet then two weeks pre op diet and a lot more insulin. Trying to tell myself things happen for a reason and God is in control.
  21. thank you guys. It will all work out. Just have to pick myself up and keep on going on and doing what i need to do to get the blood sugars lower. Not an easy job, but some how some way.
  22. but this is the perfect time to say "I SHAVED MY LEGS FOR THIS" lol
  23. It was 275 today and my ai c last wednesday was 9 so it was a combination of both. I told them I hadn't taken any insulin since monday because of being on clear liquids yesterday, but he just felt like healing or having a leak could be a big problem with the numbers that high for a while. SO I have a month to get them under better control. Which is sooo sooo hard. My sugar can go up on Air.

Trying to tell myself things happen for a reason and God is in control. At least I got a valium out of the deal and and IV in and out . And a mega dose of tylenol IV. even had my legs pumped for a while. We will just call this a practice run
