My husband knows but that's it. I think it's a personal decision. I have many friends who have had t done and someone somewhere always says....they took the easy way out, why didn't they try weight watchers, or they are the food police at every dinner, BBQ or party. So for me I just wanted to travel this alone and with all of you LBT supporters.

Please tell me anyone suffering from headaches? I can only take Tylenol and I hardly EVER get headaches. Do you think it's the pre op diet?

Saw the doctor today, he went over what to expect in the hospital. Tomorrow I go to the nutrionist and she will tell me about my pre op diet that will start on Friday. On my way!

I am choosing not to tell anyone! I just didnt want to deal with all the comments. Friends of ours had it done a husband and wife and although they don't stay on program, people are their food police at parties BBQ etc., I told my hubby just me and you are in this. Funny thing is because I'm taking off work for two weeks my boss wants a doctors note. The office said I'll write whatever you want us to write. Hope it doesn't leak out. Good luck!!

Hi I am set for December 14 in south jersey NJ. I've been waiting soo long that I am now staring to get nervous. I have 2 weeks off of work. I have pre admissions next week. Meet the doctor the week after. I sometimes think "am I ready for this?" I really really eat fast and on the go....traits I will have to change!!!! Hi, I have a BMI of 35.6 the doctor basically said not to lose any weight until approval. I have blue cross blue shield direct access. I do not have high bp,diabetes, sleep apnea. I do have high cholestrol and osteo arthritis. Did anyone who has a low BMI with no major health issues have any problems getting approved? The doctor does not want me to go to a lower BMI for now in case the insurance does not approve it. Any one else similar to this situation? I live in the beautiful state of NJ

I go for a sleep apnea test on Sat. All my test will be complete at that time. Tell me if you get approved I'll be interested to know. I am in ocean county....toms river

I'm live in toms river, dr reich is my surgeon. He must be popular alot of people use him.

I'm afraid to call insurance company because I think they might red flag me if I ask to many questions. But as I'm am trying not to lose weight I'm stressing and I'm gaining. Feeling just terrible.

I have a sleep study and then I go for approval. Blood luck I hear good things!

Hi, I just went for a consultation and am now going through with all the doctors appointments. I am not sharing my lap journey with any one except my husband who is 100 % behind me. I am married with three children. I am looking for someone whonunderstand my situation and is will to be my buddy through this. I actually know a few people who got banded , some with awful results and some with awesome results. I have been on this roller coaster and need really badly to have lot of questions answered. Well thanks for all the info. It means a lot to me. I know 4 people who went through this process. Two did very well two did not. I am opting for not telling anyone except my husband. It is not easy but I feel at this time this is best for me. So I love these forums even more so and I lov the nj one because I feel you all cn relate. Please all keep and stay in touch with me!
