Hopeful Cynic

  1. I am usually pretty cynical about online groups and whatnot, but I have been reading through posts on here and decided to give this a shot. I just got approved for my surgery a couple of days ago, it is looking like I am going to have it in October (I am still trying to save up some money). Reading about the surgery makes me more nervous on some fronts and less on others. I have some added stresses into the surgery, such as the fact that I am Bipolar II and have been dealing with that for several years now. I have virtually no one around me supporting this, or those who do are very clueless in what they are actually supporting. At the same time -- I don't really want to make it public to people, ya know? It makes me feel like I couldn't do it on my own and am somehow less than... Anyway, I am someone who likes to be very informed about any decisions I make, so expect to see me here often!
