Feeling Tired On Líquid Diet...
I am experiencing the same thing! This is my last day (surgery tomorrow) and the past few days I have taken ridiculously long 4 hour naps! I think it's the change in calories- don't know what your plan is but I've only been getting about 400 - 600 cal/day and I have been a cranky sleepy mess! You're almost to the end! Good luck!

Pre-Op Liquid Diet
Has anyone had luck with a dissolvable protein powder? I bought what I thought was dissolvable, put it in broth, it all foamed up at the top and hardened...assuming it had to be kept cold? Who knows! Now I'm on the lookout for something unflavored and truly dissolvable!

First Day Of Liquid Diet Is Over And...
Hey I'm scheduled for the 22nd too! As the days go by it does get easier but man was that first day rough. I get hungry throughout the day so I started sipping throughout the day on protein shakes rather than drinking it all at once, that has been a huge help and keeps me not so hungry throughout the day! Keep me posted on how you're doing, surgery buddy!

Pre-Op Liquid Diet
Hi there! Tried the gladiator with milk today, it was better but still unpleasant just bought a sample pack of the syntax nectar, hoping to test that out tomorrow! I'm really having a hard time with this liquid diet, I feel so cranky and tired, can't wait til monday to get this show on the road!

Pre-Op Liquid Diet
Started my 10 day pre-op liquid diet today! Made a big mistake of getting a big tub of chocolate flavored "Gladiator" from smoothie king without testing it out first. I am NOT a fan! Any suggestions of other brands or what you did that tasted decent enough? It's 11 am of day one and I'm already complaining haha Thanks!

Advice Wanted
I originally went in for my consultation hell-bent on getting lap-band. My doc told me they aren't really reccommending lapband because more than half of their patients have had some sort of complication with it like leaks in various places. He said to take into consideration the fact that what is being placed is a device, and something could always malfunction with it whereas the sleeve is a procedure within your body so it has a better chance. I am now pro-sleeve all the way, get it done the 22nd. There is a lapbandtalk site like this one you may want to ask the same question on! Also- the band takes different fills to get the restriction you need, which at my doc is $200 per fill and it takes several fills for most to get the right restriction. This is just something to consider before you make a big choice! Kudos to you for being smart about it and asking questions! And good luck in whatever you decide!

Baby Silverware
I've been trying that too! Getting sleeved on the 22nd. I also decided to get some cute cups and saucers to eat off so it won't be a big plate with a tiny bit of food on it when I get to solids

Blab To Everyone, Or "close To The Vest?"
I've been on the fence about this too. I haven't really told anyone other than family and my boss. I think the "what if I fail" thoughts and judgmental comments have kept me from telling friends, but I feel like once I am successful in losing weight I will be way more open about having the surgery! I wish you all good luck on your weight loss journey!

love it!- So Excited Yet So Nervous!
Hey, just think about the rewards! This surgery is going to change your life for the better, and it will be 100x easier to maintain a healthy weight! The sleeve is such a more permanent solution than just dieting in the long run, and you should be so proud of yourself for getting up the courage to come this far! And for deciding to do it so early in life before health problems come about! I start my pre-op diet on the 10th, so if you get stressed or worried, or just want to b***h about the pre-op diet, you just message me and we can help eachother through this! This is one of the best things we will do for ourselves, don't forget that- So Excited Yet So Nervous!
Congratulations on the beginning of your journey! My surgery date is the 22nd, only a few days away from yours! Actually, my height and weight are almost exactly the same as yours too, ha! I wish for you so much success, we can do this! Do you know when your pre-op appointment is or when you start the liquid diet?- What To Expect When You're In Your 20's
Ashley- congrats, girl! Make sure to tell us all how it goes on Wednesday, I'm sure you'll do great! OK I've gone through and watched a ton of videos on YouTube now, thanks for the suggestions everybody! I feel much better about loose skin now. Liz- I am in Tyler! Also, can I just say to everyone that I am SO proud of all of us for getting up and doing something about it! I am truly happy for every one of us for going on this journey!- Death Of All Things Delicious? (Atleast For Awhile)
I completely agree with you Jonathan! I seem to forget that those are things that got me here in the first place! It is a constant struggle between old habits and new good habits I am trying to instill in myself. I can tell the next 2 weeks are going to be a battle of temptation. Good luck to you and your upcoming surgery, we can do this!- Death Of All Things Delicious? (Atleast For Awhile)
I can relate to every one of your posts! glad to know that I'm not the only one struggling with this. I am beyond excited to have this surgery and know I can make good choices, which is why I am wanting to enjoy those few favorite things while I can. I'm not going on a balls to the wall food binder, I just mean over the next 2 weeks go to my 3 favorite places once, and get what I like. I mean, I have no intentions of gobbling down the whole restaurant and its waiters, just enjoying a smaller portion of my favorite dish. By the time I can eat solids, I know I will not eat those foods again (because yeah they are bad for me) so it really IS the last time I will eat those ever again. I do NEED and WANT this surgery and realize what it will take to get where I want. I cannot wait to start this journey and wish the best of luck to everyone- Death Of All Things Delicious? (Atleast For Awhile)
Hi I am getting sleeved Oct 22, I start my pre-op diet on the 10th. I feel like I am about to experience the death of my stomach, to put it dramatically. Haha. Is it awful that I want to eat at all my favorite places before I start the dreaded liquid diet or should I just get my favorite deliciousness while I still can? What do y'all think?- New, First Post, Saying Hi. :)
Isn't that great to think though that soon that will be your biggest worry? No more worrying "can I do this, can I sit there?". My family members would say "well you'll probably have a lot of extra skin" but ya know, if my biggest complaint is having a little extra skin, it sure beats worrying about health problems and being miserable! You keep trucking on, this forum is filled with people going through the same things!- What To Expect When You're In Your 20's
At Liz- I know, I'm proud of us for doing it now! This is going to be one of the greatest things we will ever do for ourselves!- What To Expect When You're In Your 20's
- Getting Nervous
Hey! I'm also 20 and have the same surgery date! Same as you, I'm nervous and excited about it. I start my pre-op diet on the 12th. - October Sleevers?
