  2. I was banded on 8/7. I did three weeks of full liquids. Broccoli soup was one of the things I was allowed to eat. Non fat greek yogurt, protein shakes, fat free, sugar free pudding was what I was allowed. I have been on the pureed diet for almost a week and have another week on that until I go to soft and semi-solids for two weeks. I will start solids on 9/26

  4. As far as the diet is concerned, every doctor is different. I was banded on 8/7/12 and I just stared pureed food this past wednesday and will not be able to have solids until september 29. Just remember to stick to the plan your doctor gave you. Best of luck to you!
  5. LOL, I had the same thing this week for my first pureed meal and I agree with you about the taste. It was my first real meal since July 30th!
  6. It does get better. I am a little over 3 weeks out and had the same feelings you are going through. But the funny part is that this week I was allowed to start pureed/mushie food, and I am still drinking the shakes and yogurt. It does get redundant with the shakes, so I tried different flavors and then a different brand. I also tried Isopure protein drinks, just for a variety. Good luck to you on this journey!

  8. Oay, so I just started stage 2, which I was looking forward to because I was tired of protein shakes and yogurt. But it seems like so much food to eat. I tried eating the dinner portion, which my nutritionist gave me 2 oz meat, 2oz veggie, 2oz starchy veggie and I could only eat 3/4 of it. Is this good or bad?
  9. I have a mirena and had the surgery with no problem
  10. Yes the pre-op diet is hard, but you can make it. You "cheated" with cottage cheese, not a whole pizza pie. I had a few moments during the pre-op diet, but after the surgery, you will be able to follow the diet with no problem. Best of luck to you
  11. It really does get better. When I woke up in recovery, I did question whether or not I made the rigth decision with the surgery. But I am now 2 1/2 weeks out and the pain and discomfort is a distant memory. Gas-X worked wonders for me, as did walking.
  12. It took a few days before I was able to go because there was nothing going in to come back out . But I am now 2 1/2 weeks post op and it is coming regularly. So hang in there!
  13. I am more scared of it getting stuck
  14. I am 2 1/2 weeks post up and beginning to transition to phase two of the diet, mushy, pureed foods, and I am scared out of my mind to eat. I tried grits yesterday and made them sooo watery.
  15. Banded on August 8, 2012. I lost 12 pounds so far
