    Before And After Pic

I was sleeved on July 24th and Im down 47 pounds, Its is going so fast, I want to lose about 95 all together and I feel better, my stomach looks smaller but my face looks pretty much the same, I guess it comes off when and where it wants to come off. I have a dress belt I had in the Marine Corps and OMG is is small, that was 20 years ago when I could wear it, And I plan on it fitting again. I love the new life I have and can never thank my Dr Samuel Bledsoe in Alexandria Louisiana enough.
  2. I am going on one month post op and have lost an amazing 47 pounds!!

    Newbie

Get your mind trained that the fatty foods make you fat, and that no matter how bad you want it, you cannot have it. you must be dedicated to entire lifestyle change. im three weeks out and loving every minute. the gas in your abdomen after surgery will be like pain you've never had, other than that it is clear sailing!!! good luck...

A Block Of Cheese V. A Pair Of Dice

Would it be 1/2 oz if you cut the cheese??
  9. Is it just me, or is there anyone out there who's spouse is literally upset over you getting the sleeve and losing so much weight so fast? she is following my diet and exercising as well, but she is very down and hurting because my weight is falling very quickly and not having to do anything, to add to her insult im not eating hardly anything at all, she is tired and starving and barely losing weight. Is this just an isolated issue????

  11. by the way I just fixed a big protein shake anybody want to share it with me?
  12. same here, saw the nutrition people two times, the psych Dr, had the scope in my stoamch, two nights of sleep study one with and one without the mask, three DR visits then pre op, it is a lot to do, the after the surgery I got the bill and it was over 44 thousand dollars total. I paid 150 to the surgeon and 150 to the hospital.
  13. are you in Louisiana? none of my family wanted me to have the surgery because of how major it is, But but moving forward, I learned that I had Hpylory in my stomach, then learned i had sleep apnea and then during the sleeve surgery my surgeon discovered a hyatal hernia. so then my family changed their minds. I am 3 weeks out and have lost almost 40 pounds and only have like 35 more to get my goal weight, getting the food down is a new challeng, a few bites and im way full. good luck.
  14. My primary refused to write me a letter even being 90 pounds overweight, but I found out i had sleep apnea but continued to see the primary and after the third month he said ok, go have the surgery and the surgeons office got the primary DR;s notes and it was a done deal. My weight stayed pretty much the same over three months, the best way is to see your primary Dr, and also see your surgeon and explain to him that your having to wait the three months and then you will be fine assuming your BMI is high enough.
  15. I have federal BCBS and I had either to get my DR to write a letter saying yes he is fat and needs the surgery, which he refused to do, or wait three months in a row visiting him each month to weigh and prove that my diet and exercise was not working. after the three months I got the sleeve, good luck changing their minds.
