  1. I am almost 9 months and down a total of 100 lbs (87since surgery). I have noticed recently that I am able to eat a little more than I was able to. I am so scared of gaining my weight back... I think. Do I drink my Water too fast, did I eat a little too much that time? Did I get all my Protein in? And I am stressing myself out... What does everyone else eat at 9 months out! Does anyone have the same fears?

  3. Pre-op wasn't bad. Post op SUCKED! I thought several time during the first month or two that I shouldn't have done the surgery but not being 7 months out, I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made.. I am down 98 lbs and feel GREAT! Good luck on the 28th!
  4. When is ur surgery? Are you having it at Doctors hospital? It's a small hospital but I liked all my nurses except one midnight nurse... Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions... The one thing I really liked about Dr. Pleatman is that he will let you watch your surgery in his office. Not many dr's will do that!
  5. I also had my surgery done with Dr. Pleat man!!
  6. I used Dr. Pleatman. I listed him as my Dr on where, weird that you weren't able to find that. I read a lot reviews the only bad thing I really saw was that he had a dry personality but he was very nice to me and even cracked a joke. Every time I had a question or problem he always got right back with me. My surgery was 7/27/12
  7. I can never just do a plain shake. But I do like the click mocha one, I got it on amazon. My other 2favorites... I take 1 scoop vanilla protein shake put about 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries and a cup of water and blend.. Or I will do a school of chocolate w ice cubes, a cup of water and a spoon full of peanut butter...
  8. I am currently 3 months out and lost 64 lb since surgery 78 total. I am struggling a little with the whole did I eat to much, did I stretch my stomach out again, am I gonna gain? I think its because it feels different when u eat and the fullness isn't the same as before. Did u ever struggle like this and how did u deal?
  9. I have had a little pain under my left rib, every once in a while since my surgery. Well last weekend I woke up in so much pain and eneded up in the hospital for 3 days... after a ton of test and drugs. The only thing they would find was that I had inflammation in the tissue over my stomach and bowels. But couldn't tell me why. I am in sooo much pain I can't stand it. Has anyone else had a problems? I feel like I have to diagnose myself!
  10. The eating thing gets better with time. I remember my first month out, I was wondering what I did to my self. Then I got my fall clothes out and they are all too big!!!! I know I couldn't have done it on my own
  11. I am so excited, I am down 51 lbs since my highest recorded and am thrilled to announce that I am wearing several rings I haven't been able to wear in years and I have to take my watch in to get 2 links taken out!!!!
  12. The first couple weeks are rough when you are doing the whole liquid/pureed but now that I am 5 weeks out, I am feeling a lot better. I can eat most things that the family can eat. I have a TON more energy and you learn quickly what you can and can't eat anymore. The kids knew that I had surgery and were very careful not to jump on my tummy. Feel free to email with ANY questions you have.. Good Luck!!!
  13. I have a 6 year old and twin 3 year olds. I had my surgery for the exact same reason you did. I had my surgery on Friday 7/27 and my husband went back to work Monday. I was slow for the first week but after that I was fine. I would just plan on not driving for a while. Sitting up straight for to long seemed to bother me a little. My only concern would be if you are breastfeeding. If so, you might have to have enough "stock" until you get off your pain meds...
  14. He was my Dr. I was sleeved on July 27th 2012. I have read alot of post about his dry personality. But I thought he was very nice and professional. When I have questions and email him, I always get a response back a.s.a.p. I really liked him. I have also met a few other patients in his office and they all seem to like him as well!
  15. Thank you EVERYONE!!! You have no idea how much your comments have helped me!!!! And I am going to make my husband hide the scale for at least a week!!! This is a huge step for me. It will give me time to focus on just moving and eating right!!! Thanks again everyone!
  16. My surgery was 7/27 and I have lost 29.5 lbs. I have been at that weight for almost a week!!!! I am worried that I won't be able to get the rest of my weight off. Any suggestions???? PLEASE!!!
  17. Susan, That is Awesome!!! I am in farm hills and I had my surgery on 7/27. I am down 28 lbs. I would love to hear how u have done such an awesome weight loss!! Jar312
  18. My surgery was July 27th. Down 26 since surgery. Total is 39
  19. The way my surgeon put it is that it isn't the size of the stomach is taken out that matters, it's the part that is left in that does. He put the booie (I know I am spelling this wrong) in and makes the "cut" around that and the rest gets taken out. So it all depends on how big your stomach was to begin with. I got to see my surgery and OMG I couldn't believe how big my stomach actually was!!!
  20. I have only told my family and two friends (not even my Bff's) about the surgery. And I think part of me was thinking I could have it done and lose weight without anyone really asking questions. Now that I am 3 weeks out and already down 20 lbs since surgery (31 total) I know people are going to start asking. So my question is what do say to people that you don't necessarily want to know that had surgery???
  21. Yes, finally after suffering for a couple days I broke down and asked my Dr, I am definately feeling better. Thank you!
  22. My doctor said 3 weeks. So this weekend will be 3 weeks and we r having a date night!!
  23. I agree! I would definately say something to them. When I was doing all my research I found a girl on you tube that I really liked and in one of her videos she made a comment about how you have to change everything to be successful. And that includes your habits and friends... i have't eaten anything but liquids for 2weeks.... how is that the easy way?
  24. I have NEVER had heartburn before my surgery and I am two weeks out. I feel like there is something "stuck" in my check when I eat. It feels warm and I am thinking it is heartburn. What can I take that will help it? And I never really had the gas problems that some people talk about but everytime I drink ANYTHING I burp and can't seem to help it! Has anyone had this problem and PLEASE tell me it goes away!!! Thanks
  25. I am two days post op. And just wondering if I made the right decision. My stomach is very sore, and have been feeling hungry today. To top it off, I keep burping. My husband has been wonderful! He has been helping me with out three kids. I think just right how, I feel like I will alwasy have an upset tummy. And all I have been doing is laying around the house. Has anyone else felt like this right out of surgery?
