Heartburn Question

I have NEVER had heartburn before my surgery and I am two weeks out. I feel like there is something "stuck" in my check when I eat. It feels warm and I am thinking it is heartburn. What can I take that will help it? And I never really had the gas problems that some people talk about but everytime I drink ANYTHING I burp and can't seem to help it! Has anyone had this problem and PLEASE tell me it goes away!!! Thanks

    I haven't had surgery, But are you taking an acid reducer?

    Yes, finally after suffering for a couple days I broke down and asked my Dr, I am definately feeling better. Thank you!
