sleevers in Chicago southland
- My questions did u ask the surgion
Do a search on the search page. There are oodles of posts about this and some really good list of questions.- VSG done laparoscopically?
Others explained it for you I had single site vsg and recovery was minimal. If your dr does it i would go for it. Definitely do your research and find out how many they have performed. Then make an informed/educated decision. Good luck to you.- do you wear anything on the surgery table
What's funny about this topic was I never really thought much of being naked on the table. I knoe they out a paper gown on me prior to surgery. When I woke up in recovery I had on a typical hospital gown. Never to get much of it right away. Then one day it hit me that I woke up in something different than I went to "sleep" in.- do you wear anything on the surgery table
Usually a paper gown that they'll remove after they knock you out.- Does everyone get a drain tube?
I did not- Hospital gown, or bring your own
Oh and I also wore yoga pants under mine.- Hospital gown, or bring your own
If you're hospital is like mine and requires you to stay on an iv until released then I would just use theirs. It's easiest.- best decision ever.... down 85lbs.
Thank you guys! You're so sweet.- Meeting with the Surgeon in 11 Days!
No problem. I know that's been asked s million times. Some of the thread have really good questions to ask your dr.- Sleevers over 300lbs?
Like others have said your definitely not alone. When I met my surgeon last August I was 332. Surgery day I was 300. Today I'm down to 247! I'm 5'8" and starting bmi was almost 51, now down to 38- Meeting with the Surgeon in 11 Days!
I would definitely do a search in the search option and look for "questions to ask surgeon". Something to that effect. I bet a whole bunch of posts will pop up for you.- best decision ever.... down 85lbs.
Thank you! And yes I feel awesome. Didn't realize how shitty I felt before. Able to keep up with my little one now- best decision ever.... down 85lbs.
- best decision ever.... down 85lbs.
I posted this on another board the other day but thought I'd add it to the success stories. I'm down a total of 85lbs, from 332 to 247, and half way to goal! That's including preop op weightloss. I've lost 53lbs since surgery 12/10/12. Ideally i want to get to 165. That leaves about 82lbs to goal. - I Want To See Before & After Pics!
- Bougie Size?
40Fr. Staples fired snug up against the bougie. That is all.- Calling all slowish losers--please post your losses so far!
When I met my surgeon august 2012, I was 332 When I started my 2 week preop diet I was 315 Day of surgery I was 300 Today I'm 247 Total loss of 85lbs, 53 since surgery 5 months ago Surgery was 12/10/12 My starting bmi was 51, and currently is 38 I think it what I have lost thus far is fantastic however I consider myself a slower loser compared to the ones you mentioned losing a 100lbs in a few months.- Average hospital stay?
I was there 3 nights typically my office does 2. However I had a lot of swelling in my sleeve which made me fail my leak test. I had to stay until liquids would move down.- 11 1/2 Months Out/200 lbs lost/With Pics
What a transformation! You look phenomenal.- Oh what a difference a year makes!
You look fantastic! Good job.- just have to share
Thank you;-)- Take that!
Haha nice- 3 days Post-Op & Cold
I'm 5 months out and freezing all the time. All the time. Prior to surgery i was hot all the time. Very strange change of pace for me. But I've been told it's very normal.- just have to share
I hear ya. The last month and a half has been slow moving. Beginning of March I was 259. So it's been really slow moving, much slower than those first couple months. It was nice to see the scale move again this weekend. Between March and this past Friday I was bouncing between 249 and 253 and it was really getting to me. I then realized I was starting to slack on my Water. Upped my water and started losing a bit again. Hopefully I csn keep this going until I get down to 165. Ideally that would be great. But I'm okay with 165-180 as I'm 5'8". - My questions did u ask the surgion
