The best way to look at it said my Surgeon and I quote- " we have all lost weight at one point and gained it back and sometimes even more... Well with the pre op diet look at it as if u will lose it for good!!! No gaining those 5-20 pounds back cus your on your way to a new change!!" - this made lots of sense to me so I been trying my best to lose it I been looking at food like my enemy and the gym as my best friend!! hope that helps a lil... You can do it !!!!!!

@1920zeta - if u don't mind me asking? Why did u get a blood transfussion?? Was it because of the sleeve? Im a Jehovah's witness and as many already know we don't do transfusions so I'm a lil scared- I hope I won't need one!

I feel what u say! I too have been stressing and it soo hard to b on my liquid diet considering I'm a stressful eater... I don't have much support either, they tell me it's kinda selfish and they show no interest or they tell me to lose "normal" and stop taking the easy way out.. But little do they know it's going to be a hard journey, but I will succeed and so will you!! You have all the encouragement here and we have all gone thru what u have or will have! So we can all relate... Don't cry please it will get better.. Just imagine : a second chance, a new beginning, a new life!! * new clothes don't get discouraged or sad we are here for you !!!

I have no one to support me but my mom ... Everyone opposes or show no interest in my decision and its heart breaking... That's one of my main reasons for My VGS... I hope after a year to 2 years I have a baby... We have tried plenty of times and have had unprotected sex for over 2 years but no miracles yet.. We have gone to my obgyn and she's told me to have surgery because at my weight there could b plenty of complications or even an unhealthy baby... So I hope this is the reason for not being able to get pregnant!! That would make me the happiest person ever!! But first I have to reach my goal 120-150 to shed!!

I'm august 15... I'm currently on my liquid diet which i have lost 4 pounds on 2 days and I'm getting my surgery done with Dr.irani at San Joaquin hospital in Bakersfield, Ca. Hope all goes well for u all!!

I know exactly how u feel I'm on the same boat but I'm willing to risk it.... I can't continue living this way I'm very unhappy and depressed and I honestly feel it's my only way to regain my life! An having faith in god that all will go well!! U can do it ! Who cares if ur family doesn't approve do it for yourself. I have my scheduled date on aug 15 and I'm very excited yet veryyyy overwhelmed, but at the end it will all b worth it

Aug 15 really nervous and overwhelmed bout the pain and if I'll b able to drink since everyone post op are saying its difficult drinking anything and eating...

HELLO! I'm new to this app and I started my liquid diet... I'm scheduled for my sleeve on aug 15... Any tips on what I can eat for now? I been eating chicken broth and crystal light water that's it. Doctor said I only need to lose 5-10 pounds...

Oh my god could I relate!! My coworkers and management know and surprisingly are supporting however I do notice since ive started my liquid diet they been keeping a close eye I don't cheat like it's they're business. For example the day I started it they had a potluck and at first I was going to sit in the lunchroom but as soon as I came in they were like "what are u eating!?!?!? You can't have no cake!" I know that thank u much don't need to tell me so I ended up in our "lactating" room and had my protein shake...there's a girl in particular who's in management whos also big and has been dieting for years and always says : "oh my your eating that?? That has alot of calories!!" - which bothered me at first cus it made me feel bad but I realized shes had no results.. I will soon and I'm gonna prove everyone I CAN DO IT- I'll really give them something to talk about! Sooo good luck and let them hate, u will do great and look n feel great too!

@Darkkyss- same day surgery! Awesome !! We should keep in touch , same to u hope all goes well. All I know it's veryyyy nerve wrecking since it's only like a week away. I hope I do lose my 5-10 pounds. I haven't been eating much so i better! Lol... I had a shake and 1 scrambled egg and string cheese and lots of water so far and surprisingly I'm satisfied.
