Hi everyone. Been very busy with husband and doctor's. He has COPD. I guess over 30 years of smoking 4-6 packs a day did it. His lungs are working 60%. How fun? But his meds are making him feel better. A few weeks ago we celebrated 44 years of being married. I posted our wedding picture on FB but I don't know how to post any pictures here. Well, I guess the cold has hit us all. Yesterday I stood in a cold line for 1 1/2 hours with my older grandsons for a book signing of the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I made the plans last week with them sitting at the table in a restaurant. Kids don't listen to adults. So they loved the surprise. I would love to meet all of you. My husband, Mitch, thinks it's great I have met so many wonderful people that all can relate to WLS. One of the FB people said this morning after 26 years and 5 kids her husband wants out. That is sad. One of the men said maybe he can't deal without the fat wife. You hear so much about this, it's very sad that men are threatened by a healthier and thinner wife. Jim and Kelli, have the best time. I have not been to DW in over 26 years. So many new things have happened since then. Well everyone have a great warm and dry day. Arlene aka Eye Candy

Happy Halloween everyone. I bought only candy I hate, so that is good. I belong to about 4-6 different WLS groups on FB. On one of them a daughter posted yesterday for TBT pictures of her mother. The mother had the sleeve 2 years ago and lost 191!!! The mother looks amazing. Just wanted to share this, she still has bat wings. Not bad but she is a size 6 now. So I guess bat wings come with the weight loss. I never knew mine were so bad until I lost weight. Better than plus size clothes. I am watching Wendy Williams and Hoda is on. Wendy just asked Hoda about going through menopause. OMG!!! Hoda recently had her first hot flash on tv. So Wendy asked, did you have a sweaty crack when you stood up? Hoda said she doesn't recall and that she had on Spanx. So Wendy said then you had a sweaty crack. Loved the laugh. Wendy just said when she gets home the first thing she does is: off the wig and off the bra. With tits like that, yaaaaa!!! Why would anyone want such huge tits like that on purpose? Everyone enjoy your Halloween. Happy November tomorrow. Arlene

I wear hearing aids so my hair has to cover the ears because I don't share that like I don't share have WLS. When I cut off over 1 foot 6 years ago I went to Raquel Welch's wig web site. Found the greatest ideas. Have a great evening everyone.

I had color/hi-lites and cut recently. I wanted it shorter and spiker and my stylist said I have a few spots that are thinning but hair is starting to grow. I have been taking Biotin for about 2 years, too. UGH! But thin and thin hair is worth it all. Everyone enjoy your new styles. Arlene

Hello everyone. This group is amazing. I really enjoy reading all the ups and downs and goods and bads. Happy 2nd anniversary. You and your husband are so romantic!! Very lucky. Next month is 44 years for me and I have the most unromantic husband ever. He is the kind that says, I was going to. For my birthday last week, I bought me a dozen roses. Everyone enjoy Columbus Day. I live 15 minutes from the youngest grandson and less than 30 from the older 2 whom I am baby sitting tomorrow. I am very lucky about that. I saw them all last night at the walk, too. I don't know how to post pictures.

Happy TGIF everyone. I did the leukemia walk last night at the Boston Common. Husband couldn't make it but that was fine because he can't walk. I walked twice around the Common and my Fitbit almost hit 10k steps. That is the biggest number I have ever hit. I am pooped today. For those of you outside of Boston, the Common is where the cows roamed in the 1600's and is very famous and also for the street people, that part is sad. It is at Beacon Hill where the state house is. There are a few brownstones that when built the window mixture made the panes turn purple. Some of those windows are still there and they are well over 100 years old. They are great. Secretary of State, John Kerry lives on Beacon Hill. The Cheers Bar is there across from the Common. Next to the Common is the Public Garden and that is where the famous Swan Boats are. Now you all have a history of Boston. Also, last week end they unveiled a statue of Edgar Alan Poe and the news said it's at the Common. We finally found it across the street from there. My son's friend ran and took a picture but he hasn't posted it yet. It is Poe with a raven. That's enough of BS for the day. Having dinner with my oldest and his in-laws tonight. They come from Milwaukee every year for the walk to support their daughter. We share, Max who will be 2 the end of November. Fun time tonight. Arlene

Hi, I am still here. I can't find the link except on my email. Updates. My birthday was Saturday, Yom Kipper, and I wanted to see Ron White not go to the Break The Fast at the fancy country club. So of course I lost. Being my birthday I started something new last year, buying myself a big ass cup cake at Montellios Bakery. They are south of Boston but are very famous for making all the president's cakes. So I pulled into the parking lot in front of my son and didn't even notice him. He is saying to his wife, WTF is she doing here. He surprised me with the most wonderful huge chocolate cake with chocolate mousse layers . OMG!! He did great. He got permission from our cousin (she invites us to the CC). It was wonderful. Still wish I saw Ron White. I love his humor. So how is everyone doing? Thursday night is walk a at Boston Common for LLS. One of my DILs is a leukemia survivor. The weather says no rain!! Everyone have a great week and a super Hump Day tomorrow. Arlene

    Share Your NSVs Here Please!

About using HP stalls. I still use them because the toilets are higher and my back and knees are very bad. Nothing to do with weight. Losing weight has helped the knees but I was told around age 40, I would need 2 knee replacements. 64 on Saturday and I have no plans on having that surgery. Rather live with pain, which isn't too bad. I had fallen and really screwed up my knees, A restaurant's side walk had a hole, the light bulb was out and it was dark out. I was wearing flats at the time, too. After many years of PT etc. I ended up with less than $5k. The back, the discs are shattered with arthritis and the lower discs have no cushion left between the bones. Weight loss, I think has helped a little. That I guess is a NSV. Raining hard in Boston today, yesterday and maybe tomorrow. This weekend is Yom Kipper, Happy New Year to everyone who celebrates. Arlene

I always get manicures and pedicures. I can't file or polish. It does make you feel better about your hands. Wear fun rings too. I love rings. My mother died last month and she had a wonderful fun ring she wore. Being the only daughter I knew it would be mine. The nursing home threw it away by accident. I did get a check and picked out a new fun ring. Just need to look around first to make sure it's the right one for me. As far as dating. Go for it. Have fun. Enjoy great company or not great company. But enjoy life. I belong to many FB WLS groups. One woman lost over 250. She had many surgeries done. But, big but, her thighs after all this are huge and cottage cheese. She is fine with this. She looks at the 250 loss not at the thighs. Great attitude. Men also see the person not the body. Everyone have a great day. Rain in Boston today. I may have jury duty tomorrow. Won't find out until later. I hope I don't. I have ADD and I am hard of hearing. Arlene
  25. I just saw this. I used Benjamin Schneider from BI Boston. He is also at Milton. Love him and his staff. I have my band for 2 years.
