I can imagine your husband was a wreck my surgery went almost 2 hours past (I had weird anatomy)and my hubs was really anxious . The liquid diet is terrible I lived off SF Popsicles during most of it just so I could chew .I am doing well now. I did have a return stay at hospital 1 month post op due to a real life "medical mystery" that resolved without need for any more surgery praise God.My loss has been slow and steady and Dr.H seems happy with my results thus far. I will say take your supplements bc I have struggled with Vitamin D and Iron deficiency and low potassium. I was taking a women's multi gummy that I did not realize had no Iron until my labs came back .- No longer invisible, and that's what I wanted, I thought ...

Yes I got sleeved at SAMMC(BAMC) by Dr.Harnisch on 11/07/2012 so I am just over 6 months out and doing well:) My BMI is down from 39.9 to 28.2 and I have lost 67 pounds since surgery which is decent for my starting point(I think)I am 26 pounds from goal and hope to be there by my 1 yr check up.- San Antonio sleevers
What's up?- Any Texas Gastric Sleeve Buddies?
- 61lb off
You are not a slow loser you are doing great. I truly am a slow loser it took me 6 months to lose 28 Kg I am still within normal range according to my doctor but slower than a lot of people here on the forum. I am 10 Kg away from normal BMI. I wanted to add my starting bmi was 39.9 and it is now 28.- Any Texas Gastric Sleeve Buddies?
Thanks:)- Any Texas Gastric Sleeve Buddies?
I am good I had a few issues at a month out that had me back in hospital. They resolved on their own (God is good) hospital was more for pain management and a bunch of tests which were all normal. I have lost 2/3 of my excess weight. SW was 224(their scale) 6 mos Weight was 157(their scale) my home scale actually weighs me heavier than theirs now but today I was 155 and my goal is 130 I am 5'2.5- Any Texas Gastric Sleeve Buddies?
You may need more time since your job is demanding. I was offered a job in L&D at SAMMC just as I was about to be sleeved and I decided that I just wanted time to heal and get in the groove of things so I declined it. However when I talked to Trish who was the old Bariatric Program manager about taking that job she suggested 3 weeks off work just to be sure I could drink well and eat well on a 12hr shift. She said the doc could write whatever you need as far as time off or light duty etc. Dr. Harnisch will probably release you at 2 weeks if you do well.- coffee drinkers?

- Vanilla Latte Muscle Milk Light not for coffee fans.....
I was thinking about it...It doesn't taste bad though it reminds me of EAS French Vanilla.- Vanilla Latte Muscle Milk Light not for coffee fans.....
Is this just me or is this protein drink lacking in the Latte department it just tastes like vanilla to me...It does however offer 150mg of caffeine which I feel I need:) and 20g protein with 10 carbs and 160 cals.- Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
I am a "slow loser " I had my 6 month check up earlier this month and was down 67pounds according to my surgeon's scale(he was very happy with my progress btw). I do not do low carb mine are around 100 protein about 70. I do not obsess about my food. I am a plain old GROUCH on low carb . I don't care if I would lose faster on lower carbs if it makes me mean. Slower loss for me has been better as far as excess skin I believe I acknowledge it may take me the next 6+months to get to my goal of 130 which is 26 pounds away and I will be fine with that >.<Account
